What happened in the last week to make people so vocally against the current state?

But I logged onto the forums today to post about pvp exp balance and I'm taken back by how many posts on here are vocally against the current state of the game. I'm used to seeing the official forums be mostly positive.

Just out of genuine curiosity, when was the last time you visited the forums and how often do you? Because I'm not sure I've ever seen this place be positive. Which sorta makes sense, given that people in general are more likely to take the time to visit a forum and post something when they have a complaint, whereas people who are enjoying playing a game are...well...playing the game. There's also some select perpetually negative bitter folks who seemingly spend their entire online existence just bashing the game who re-appeared recently, so evidently it's that bad...but they still come back, log in, and actively play it *shrugs*.

It's the first post after OP's friend, I'm literally begging you to read it. It's highly unlikely that, if these posters are indeed as disenfranchised as you claim, are still actively playing. Please, cease the spread of misinformation.

You make it your mission to criticise these people yet you're the one insistently trailing after their posts just to call them bitter daily. You'd think the "laundry list" of things you claim to want to do would offer more compelling entertainment for you.

I think someone else pointed out the more likely reason - the interview YoshiP did where he said not to expect the next stage of the relic to be much different. That seems to be what set off the current surge of negativity.

Nice attempt at "how dare you point out the bad arguments used by the naysayers" - but it falls flat. I play a bit, I post here a bit. It's healthy to do a variety of things. Quite telling, though, that you would cease to silence the people who call out the echo chamber for its many flaws.
