What an amazing housing system to have, absolutely 0 pride in anything, just "poof plop a house on the plot there that you had to do absolutely nothing for" because somehow housing cant stay unique and it has to be for literally every single player in the game.

At this point I hope they will do instanced housing on the island, then you will have your instanced housing and leave us that care about housing the hell alone, so tired of this constant "everyone DESERVES", some things stay unique, they are made to be, it is what it is, but you really think you are going to get LB41's and top tier quality plots as instanced, you're dreaming and I damn well am happy about the fact that it will never happen, and if you think it will happen, you are absolutely delusional.

Yes everyone deserves to participate in content for a game they PAY to play… I don’t understand the absurd idea that getting a special plot - or a plot at all, because I think it was you who said that some people won’t get a house at all and you’re totally ok with that - is some sort of in-game achievement. You got Shiro 60 because you were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, that’s it. Nothing special about that, nothing was won, and nothing gets taken from you if there are hundreds of Shiro 60s in an instanced housing directory that you will never have to interact with in any way if you don’t want to.

This whole “I got mine, if someone else gets to have it too, it cheapens it” attitude… but telling others they’re “throwing tantrums” by saying they want equal access to in-game content. Ok…

Once again, this is my personal opinion on it, I have my right to have it just as much as other people have the right to theirs, because getting my S60 was technically done via RNG, doesnt mean I didnt spend 2 years, including some placard time as well trying to get one, and had never managed to before, and when I got it, I was the happiest I could've been in a long time, that was my long term goal for the game and its housing, and I got to it by putting in work for it over 2 years, every single time one was up under placard system, which was pretty intense, and then less work via the lottery, but still put in the time anyways to try and maximize my chances.

Yes, if random Johnny logs in the game and plops a shiro 60 out of the sky, while I had to work for it for 2 years, the plot wont have the same value, because literally everyone has one, I'm not sure why this even has to be said, this is like saying that apartments are valuable and yet every single person in the game has one, and that it will feel good or you will feel pride to have one, hint : you wont.

Just because we had to suffer through a bad system for years shouldn't mean that everyone should always have to suffer through that bad system.

We'd still be back in the stone ages without things like electricity and indoor plumbing (and no computers/smart phones/etc) if human beings decided that was the correct approach to use.

Things change with time, and it's generally to create QoL/ease of access or use. How others obtain items now or in the future does not take away the value of the effort you put in to get that item in the past. You know what you did. You know what your options were at that time.

Not everyone plays the game for others. To me it's just for fun (work is elsewhere) and as a convenience base. I don't care what others think of my game houses and I couldn't care less what others do with their house. I don't understand the importance some people give to a mere pixel house in a game lol. Everyone who pays for a sub should be able to get one.

I will repeat it once again, this is a matter of opinion, I value houses because its the main thing I do in the game, it's really that simple, and I dont expect you to share that with me as I assume (feel free to prove me wrong) that you dont only do housing in the game

Even if all I did in the game was housing, it is still just a game and it doesn't justify your opinion that not everyone should be able to get a house. I don't give that much of importance to a game. To consider an in game house a status symbol of some sort sounds quite unhealthy.

I imagine most of us understand that you value it. What's left unanswered is why you value it.

Do you value it for the things you do with it, or do you value it for the prestige you think it gives you?

If it's the first, allowing others to have the same plot shouldn't change how you value it at all.

If it's the second, that's already a fragile thing. Not everyone sees house ownership as a prestige symbol. Some see it as a symbol of a game system designed poorly. Others see it simply as a game play choice.

The amount of gatekeeping people like you who have houses have for people who don't is so staggering. There are people who have been trying since 2.4 to get a house (Myself included) and haven't been able to because of an artificial scarcity. Random Johnny's plot is worth EXACTLY the same as yours. He pays his sub fee the same as you and should have full access to the housing system, as should every player.

Gatekeeping a major portion of the game from others because you feel like your digital house that will be gone when the game is shut down in some twenty years is petty. At best.
