You only get one chance to experience a story the first time. I'm still years later upset my first run through the Praetorium was full of people in silly outfits talking about wanting to perform sexual acts on Cid and rushing me through the content. Felt like it completely killed any amount of hype that section of the story had, so I can understand people wanting to watch cutscenes.
