So you are okay with it going on in the game, you just want it to be regulated? Me too. I would love for some regulation as long as it also gets the recognition and even content development from SE that it deserves. We are a huge part of their player base now. More stuff like the dance floor please.

I wonder how regulation would be implemented though. I'm guessing anybody requesting access to 18+ content would be required to have their age/birthday verified in their account via picture ID that only SE employees can see.

Eh, wouldn't need to go that far, porn websites have worked with a "You need to be 18+ to continue, are you 18+?" warning page for decades, and as much that has the resistance of a wet napkin, it's still enough from a legal standpoint.

How people use XIV is their business, and what XIV has become is just a reflection of the player base and content cycle at large.

That being said personally I'm mutual towards it. I'll spend a lot of the day farming whatever, and then if I feel like it I'll go mooching around just to see designs and a 'social' atmosphere. The latter I don't particularly approve of, but I guess that comes with territory so to speak.

I find the venues annoying and I wish people weren't allowed to spam their venue nonsense in chat- they attract the same cesspool of players to each one.

I turn off my chat which helps, since that's the only solution other than to stop playing IMVU-XIV
