bro is withering over a lalafell calling him a catboy and a gif lmao are you okay
Are you a cat boy irl? If not, it is not a personal attack. Plus, you keep just jumping in, instigating. Not a victim here
So you are okay with it going on in the game, you just want it to be regulated? Me too. I would love for some regulation as long as it also gets the recognition and even content development from SE that it deserves. We are a huge part of their player base now. More stuff like the dance floor please.I also wanted to stay unbiased in the thread, but my opinion is I don't mind the Venue scene, and also ERP in general. But I think ERP specifically need to be in an environment that's properly regulated to take accountability on who's there, and what's happening. For XIV, we know a venue can't really blacklist people, and you can barely block people in general. So these scenes tend to create stalking and potentially grooming behavior that XIV just can't really combat. A lot of these things are pulled to Discord or other voice chat, so at that point it's also separated even further. If you know of them taking action on these things, I'd be curious to know the outcome.
If you say a venue verifies age and tries to manage attendees and members, it's still not properly regulated - Because the only one holding a venue accountable is themselves. So it's almost like a wild west.
Unfortunately XIV is pretty far behind when it comes to social systems to prevent stalking and bad behavior. But I guess that's the internet as a whole too.
A good, but cringe example of how to do this - as much as we want to make fun of Second Life, it's a game that knows what it is. It keeps all text and voice in-game, has age verification and maturity ratings for zones. If Players experience abuse, they can file the text and voice with screens/video and don't have to hide their ERP behavior.

So.. Yeah I don't care about Clubs and ERP, but what we have in XIV is a weird wild-west of it. lol
You're handwaving at this point. And yes, they were personal attacks using the characteristics of this avatar. They added nothing to the discussion. What else would you call them? And why else would you have actually gone so far as to 'like' at least one of them?
“Avatar”. That right there states for fact that any cat boy comments are not personal.
Handwaving… ok. And you are what? Flailing?
Context is everything. Why were you complaining about my comment on a gif of a taller person spritzing a shorter person? It wasn't a response to you, and it didn't directly say anything about Lalafells in general either. The fact that you chose to comment indicates it was somewhat personal, or you wouldn't have made it in the first place.
I'm not gonna sit here and act like my cringe ass wasn't dancing in clubs on Second Life in 2005. I have no room to talk there. XIV just doesn't have a great social and hosting system for these things, so it feels like everything's hush and back-alley. lolSo you are okay with it going on in the game, you just want it to be regulated? Me too. I would love for some regulation as long as it also gets the recognition and even content development from SE that it deserves. We are a huge part of their player base now. Meanwhile Second Life is now living it up with whole moderated dildo galaxies and virtual furry conventions. I'm mostly confused as to how it's taken off in XIV when it has a huge barrier to entry comparatively.
Edit: But maybe I'm looking at it wrong. Maybe XIV is becoming a stepping stone because of Glam and House Customization? Kinda reminds me of the older games like MyCoke, Habbo, UO.. Where you started the game with good intentions, and then you fell into housing, then clubbing, then E-Dating or something.

I comment on comments. I thought the person you were responding to was funny in their reaction to your salt mine. You just keep jumping at them. Now you’re coming at me after pointing to something you didn’t like, proving another poster correct.Context is everything. Honestly, I’m here for the lols
"I love your lalafell's reactions to getting spritzed. Keep up the good work!" is salt?!? That would have been the end of the conversation until you stepped in. The fact that you keep replying indicates it's become personal to you.
Here, you win! Congratulations on your victory.
