Remove Praetorium

The issue here is that, 99 times out of 100, your Praetorium MSQ roulette is 4 people who have already done Praetorium hundreds of times. In that case (the vast majority of instances), it just wastes everyone's time. Maybe they could make the cutscenes skippable only if no player is new to the duty. Everyone already gets extra tomestones if someone is new, so that should be a decent reward for having to wait for the cutscenes.

Then you'd have people who would dip as soon as they saw someone was new. Hell, for a while between cutscenes becoming unskippable and the rework, people would drop if they ever got castrum over praetorium due to exp-per-time-spent differences. And also the exp reward just wouldn't be as good if the cutscenes were skippable. That's why they gave so much. Would probably be about equal to a lvl 50/60/70/etc roulette if cutscenes were still skippable.

Well for me the problem is, so far there was a reason at least to do it, i got good XP doing it, now it has no good XP reward, you have cutscenes with 4people, when they can make it skippable, and if 1 people didn't skip the video will go on... at least players can have a choose , now you don't get XP, still need to watch the cutscenes and the fights are long, i skip the entire MSQ for my daily duty, because it's not worth doing it at all. I don't even know why there is not a system in place for skip when everyone already did the MSQ... I don't think it's so hard to implement it, and then you have something that works for everyone, for new people and old players too, so the solution is there, but they always do it the most frustrating way ever.

So why are you still doing it if you feel it has no good rewards?

Don't bother queuing for MSQ roulette and your problem is solved. You won't need to watch cutscenes and you'll have 25 minutes available to do other things to get your XP and/or tomestones.

Keep in mind that you are also queueing for it and "forcing" others to "suffer" when you all have the same option not to queue for it.

It baffles me we're still having this conversation. Like, don't do main scenario if you hate its content. It's not even a FOMO carrot. You can get similar rewards by just running a dungeon normally without the carrot. You can use critical thinking here. The only thing it's doing is saving you a small amount of time in exchange for doing a service for newer players instead of something actually enjoyable. You can just not do it and spend slightly longer getting to where you're trying to go, but at least you'll be enjoying yourself.

Which screws over the players that want to experience those duties with friends.

SE doesn't need to change anything. What players need to do is not queue for the MSQ roulette if they dislike watching the cutscenes.

Ah, your complaint makes even more sense in that case.

Same answer. Don't do Mentor roulette if you can't be bothered to watch cutscenes with those that Mentor roulette exists to help. Or ditch the party and take your penalty. If you're joining a party in progress, you probably won't even need to worry about the penalty.

If you think about it, the answer isn't really "remove Praetorium" - its 'make the cutscenes within it skippable'.

As someone who had the worse experience first time I did Praetorium (old version, but even with unskippable cutscene) because everyone rushing and me diying (I didn't know we were "supposed" to skip all the adds before the the first boss, so didn't take the tp), I think that's an awful idea. I felt I was robbed of the ending of the game I gueninely loved. Make the cutscene skippable, and that's what you will get (that's already the reason why they made them unskippable, long ago, they were). A lot of players are already not able to wait 15 seconds when a first timer watch the boss introduction cutscene in dungeons, so wait 5 min for a cutscene, no way.
