DRK is the worst designed job in the game, with a mishmash of stuff that just conveniently manages to barely work together. It has the worst designed tank cooldowns, the worst designed damage rotation, the worst designed attacks in the game, and the only job with no job identity.
Autos only monk is the only way to play the game


WAR’s 2.1 changes were too much and it would have been better off staying as a self-sustain tank with little to no mitigation.

We had that in Heavensward.I don't know if its unedige or counts since i havent been playing that long...
However this is just my opinion and it counts for just about every job outside of blackmage and summoner and ninja (havent played mch so i don't know there)
I feel like the design choices on just about every job were done poorly and with little thought invovled other than "what if"
Like warrior for example, Why didn't they build around berserk more and make it a true berserker? Like why not make use of its over healing aiblitysd by keeping bererk up as often as you can through rotation taking more damgage yes but outputting more while after reaching so many berserk counts you go true beast furry. I won't say there design is bad but it makes every job I play almost carbon copy of another job with a diffrent name.
I feel like there are cool mechas in the jobs they could have done more with, but choice to ignore for whatever reason even ninja isn't fully immune to this why not had more handsigns and focus on that for its theme, or do more with steal for mixer fans so they steal items to mix and toss like Rikku..
I just my opinion Feel like they go down the lazy design path and honestly slowly kill what could make the job feel special and fun.
I still feel like the best chance to "fix" SMN was back in HW, but they blew it. Painflare could have been "Thundershock" and had a Ramuh animation. Tri-disaster could have been "Acid Rain" and had a Leviathan animation. Ruin 4 could have been "Ice Lance" and had a Shiva animation, etc. Simple animation changes would have given the job that classic summoner feel while having absolutely no effect on gameplay or balance. The devs had the prefect opportunity and just let it slide on by.





That's a horrible place for anyone to be standing in party content. If the boss's hit radius is 10y and you're 25y away then you are 35y away from the boss's center. AoE heals have a 10-20y range (most are 15y).
If not specifically handling a mechanic right that second, rangers and casters should be max 10y away from boss's center (not from boss's edge) so healers don't have to waste heals on you because you're not in AoE range.



There needs to be a support role separate from DPS.
