Length MSQ from all the expansions - it is getting insane

Okay I remember you now, you're the one that's hell-bent on burning down WoW no matter how many good things it does now. We don't want disgruntled WoW players, they just act like XIV is the greatest thing ever made because it's not WoW.

And nobody cares how cohesive the story is over a decade, it has absolutely shit on everything some of us wanted out of it anyway. It may be cohesive to the characters, but it's not even remotely coherent. We just want to actually play a game with our friends now, not force them to read a sub-par manga for 300 hours. The MSQ just got way out of hand and turned into what it is. We didn't expect it to keep going without any extension to new players past 'Story Skip'.

Story isn't even that good anymore, why you acting like it's the greatest thing since The Shawshank Redemption. You act like us traveling to the end of the universe and killing mega-satan is good writing. lol

I don't want to run around with the same band of characters anymore. It's played out. I'm bored. I'm done with Alphinaud. These characters should have died and stayed dead. At least then it'd actually have an impact on the story for once. Instead of it always being "Somehow X survived!"

Like if you don't like the direction they took, think the story is boring, don't like the characters. why do you still have a sub and support the game? theres so many other multiplayer games out there you could be playing with your friends. Why you think Yoshi P said it was ok for people to step back from the game and take a break.

I mean true, XIII does exist. I can take 30 hours of a batshit story because it can't get very far. But FFXIV takes all of the batshit of every FF game and just keeps going forever. It's like an FF nightmare. lol

i like to think of it more as a playground for the series. The fact its making bank is probably why its going to continue with a whole brand new story. i mean ff11 is getting new content and thats 20 years old lol.

Well that's what I'm saying you know? I don't mind if they cut everything up into their own little sections of themepark. You can make batshit 30 hour stories, but why is it necessary to string them all together every year and continue the massive thread? It's just not necessary, it's super excessive at this point. I'd advocate for cutting the MSQ hours down for more horizontal content. Do literally anything but what they're doing now, because it's just frustrating to deal with.

It's why I love when they split up the Trials and Raids into their own stories. It works well, we know it works. It's still extremely fun. They can tell world stories, they don't need to always involve the Scions.

I've been subbed since 1.0. I know what Yoshi is capable of, and they've only been pull back the past 4 years. They know how to write when it matters, and they know how to section off content and sub-stories.
