    • A purely solo farm would be chaining or mass pulling mobs 2-3 levels above you. On bonus side, try to kill an undead/sprites on #20 or #30 chain to fish for 1 full bar of light bonus (this bonus part is anecdotal from my own experience, take it as a grain of salt). Mind you, this is very mind-numbing even with full elemental gears.

You can hit me up if you see me loitering in-game. If I’m able to at the moment, I’ll give you a hand.
I was doing pretty good 30 chaining goobues at night and world serpents during the day. 36 moocows by the aetheryte aren't too bad either but that gets interrupted by spawners coming and razing them all. I was using GNB at first and it was fine, but RPR can tear through those like butter and I have some Eureka potions for backup to crest, second wind, and bloodbath since they can hit a bit hard sometimes. Was getting good gentle and bright light. I just started trying to solo chain stuff last night before maint so I'm going to see how I do against some 37 stuff.

I've only been back in Eureka for a few weeks now but I've never seen anyone doing anything with Cassie. Guess I'm just missing the spawns. I mosey over to Louhi when the NM train is getting it ready since I can use those ices and save on crystals. And I might pop onto a NM if it's nearby. It just doesn't seem worth it trying to chase the train around getting some solo farming in.

I like Pyros better as a zone but I'm not looking forward to that next relic step since you can only get crystals from NMs. Yay, endless FATE farming. At least that light step is optional. I haven't looked at what the tedium of Hydatos will be yet.

I think it really depends on your goal. If it’s solely to light farm in Pagos uninterrupted, I would suggest picking mobs that aren’t regularly farmed to spawn easy NMs. Thunder Dragons (spawns Behemoth but limited to Thunderstorm weather) & mobs in the narrow pathway around the northern bunny are decent for this purpose specifically. Moocows are great alternative like you’ve mentioned but it’s only natural to see folks coming in to raze your mobs the moment somebody decide to prep the NM. Then again I suppose you can pick up the crystal when the NM spawn and carry on with your business after.

Some Cassie preppers tracks in-game weather table & normally present 1-2 weather cycle before the actual Blizzard weather sets in because how finicky Cassie is to spawn. Normally when these groups presents, Cassie would’ve been long dead if you happen to enter an instance while Blizzard is going on.

I felt the same way for Pyros. Then again, we have Logos Actions to smoothen the progress so imho it’s a decent trade-off. There are handful of powerful & cheap combinations to facilitate solo plays.

Yeah what's why I liked the world serpents and the goobues. Do the sneks during the day then run past the bunny fate and hit up the goobues at night.

I do like Logos Actions and there's a lot of solo potential for leveling but I don't know how well I would do with NMs solo. Plus there are usually groups doing the NMs but it's rapid fire like with Pagos. And I'm just so tired of FATE farming as SE's answer to everything. Before Eureka came out I had really been hoping for a zone with some sort of missions or quests and a reason to go there daily or weekly besides just something minimal like the challenge log (which IIRC we didn't even have at first). That's the sort of thing they could have tied relic progression to and made sure to future proof it appropriately.

Just thought I'd put this here. Decided to grind some Eureka this morning, and if you're on Dynamis be very, very careful. There's people attempting to kill others there right now. If you see someone that's level 20 and dragging a massive train of monsters behind them towards you just leave the area.

Ah, brings back memories of people dragging Cazel or the spectres to the docks in Oasis back in EQ. Guess we have the bingo card filled now of all the bad parts of late 1990s, early 2000s MMO gaming.

My advice: Find friends. Eureka was mainly made as a content for socializing in world. Or just group of with randoms and have small party chat. You can solo it now with Echo buff pretty easily, but if you are bored by it, friends will always help.

I quite enjoy Eureka and wish we would get more of it.

Nah... FFXI. I pulled every mob in Castle Oztroja to the entrance on accident when a targeting glitch had me cast bio on an NM up on the top floor lol. Then there was intentionally pulling the Matriarch Crawler to the entrance of Crawler's Nest... >.>

Though I think the best was using enough Dead Branches in Prontera in iRO that the city was inaccessible for something around 6 hours before a GM went in there and cleared out all the monsters I spawned. :P

There was a teens area called Oasis in EQ but it had some wandering high level giants and an island with high level spectre mobs. People would intentionally train either to the docks where newbies were sitting with a book in their face because that's how we had to regain our magic points, or mana.

We did have targeting bugs like that, though. And no group ever wanted to hear "Where's my pet" because it was usually followed by said pet returning with every mob in the area aggroed.

Well the funny thing about those 2 FFXI trains is that this was before they did an update that made mobs despawn and respawn back in their normal area after they lost aggro. Before then they would slowly walk back with their normal aggro and linking triggers active. So as ppl kept entering the area the train would aggro on them, kill them, and the process would just keep repeating lol. What made it even worse is all the active mob pathing caused the zone to have a ping over 10K so the ppl entering would wait a bit just to see the area finally load with them dead on the floor. XD

yeah, which is why it sucked. They basically copied EQ, so much for originality.
