step 1: start a new character on a boat that crashes and you fight ogres raising a zombie dragon. Why? where is this? what were you doing? who knows!

Step 2: now bad news kid, its war, you are going off to bfa where the planets blood is a powerful crystal, why? who knows you sure as hell dont know about the sword in silithus as you dont get the heart quest till level 40 if you even bother. Now cross these zones, maybe two max gearing up for a war.

Step 3: too bad you hit lvl.50 so forget that war, now you are going to this frozen castle you dont know to go into the afterlife which is in the sky, dont question it, to rescue people who outside jaina you have never met. Enjoy questing through these floating bowls re-meeting people you have never met and dont understand the significance of to stop sylvanas. Who? doesn’t matter if you are alliance you never met her.

Step 4: Those people you came to rescue? yeah that part was patched out they are fine NOW LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT SIGILS

Its like its full on end of life cycle and blizzard knows at best its an endless adventure mode to keep sunk cost players churning new alts with a habit forming progress loop, always staring at that cash shop button and they know the game can only decline at this point and any hopes of a resurgence or significant new generations of players is long gone.

All I can say is THANK THE TWELVE we dont have to put up with this kind of amateur night garbage.

Tell ya what. When Blizzard starts offering the MASSES of deleted ingame content in the game for the cash shop then maybe we can talk. When I can do Ordos and the Cloak again. The WOD ring. All the MOP intro quests. All the deleted Shadowlands content. See all of the deleted cutscenes they nuked into oblivion.

There was a questline I LOVED, "The Old Seer", you meet an old Pandaren who needs help climbing a mountain, you do so , the old Pandaren turns out to be Emperor Shaohao's spirit. It was an awesome lore moment, on one of my detachable HDDs somewhere are screenshots of that quest.

I was so surprised in the moment that I went to one knee.

Items are irrelevant in this context. Glamour is glamour...what we are discussing is the utter absurdity of WOW"s "story" compared to the masterpiece that is FF 14's story from ARR to today. I can fairly state for a certainty that SE wont be going back into said content and wiping out hundreds ..make that THOUSANDS...of hours of content in the name of FOMO.

I did those quests back when they were current, and personally I couldnt care less if they were put back in the game, wouldnt bother me either way, WoW has more than enough content as it is, and them letting people go do Ordos without the cloak is the least of worries for current players, it really is, no one complains about it, feel free to have a look at the WoW forums.

People miss out on stuff from time to time, it's the cycle of life of a game like WoW, unlike in FF where any sort of exclusive item is met with a giant uproar for no reason at all, some things are just meant to be exclusive, and that's fine.

We agree. It is my opinion, it is one of the main reasons I stay and enjoy the game so much. I just wish I could say the same about WOW's story..because, as I said,. they dont have a new game plus, they dont have a lot of the content that came before. FF 14's game content and story remains intact. New players can do it or skip as they please..but it is STILL THERE.

Blizzard in fact promised everyone that the cloak would not be needed for Ordos, said so up untril the day of the patch,

THEN after the patch came out said "Oh dear, so sorry too bad so sad sucks be to youuuuuu we changed our minds". I cant post screenshots of the MASSIVE outcry that followed because............all the forum threads from that time and the entire forum itself were...wait for it..wait for it...
