To be fair, tolerance of intolerance is a stupid thing. Bigotry is about the only think I will block someone for, because mindless hate is just not worth my time anymore. Not to say that the OP is right when he calls somone a bigot because they are obviously a troll using LGBTQ+ folk as a shield to you know… troll (which is just as bad as being a bigot in some ways) but its an interesting point. The only one about that, would be you... show some tolerance towards others?
I don't mind LGBT and whatever other letters you can add to it, quite a few friends who is in various directions, and nothing wrong with that, am probably even curious myself, but my respond would never be to block anyone because they disagree or whatever, that is immature and just showing not able to handle the situation for one self and others.

Maybe because in my mind there is no need to put all kinds of letters and more to it creating Team A vs Team B... or Team A vs Team A, which it actually is, love is love and what you fall into in that area really just makes like the next one in line.To be fair, tolerance of intolerance is a stupid thing. Would you be mad at me if I see everyone as equals no matter which way they sway and if one hit on me I would rather be more flattered to be honest and of course be polite and all if I know it wont work out that way, however it does not stop me from having friends, even a relative... acquintances that is into different stuff than me.... from their point of view I am into different stuff than them as well in the end... but that does not mean that we can't have a beverage... see a football match, go onto a bar for Homosexuals for then later on in the evening to another bar or dance place or whatever.
This is more about people accepting each other as who they are rather than placing judgement.
I only got one life and I can't get back the life I already spendt, so live the moment.
It's a noble idea for sure, and perhaps if everyone felt the same the world would be better. But kinda like the ‘I do not see race’ argument, it erases the fact that those teams, if you will, are not on a level playing fields. You just need to look at how horrifically trans folk are being treated around the world currently, not to mention places like Florida’s ‘don’t say gay’ bills and Uganda which has just made even identifying as gay a crime. Gay rights and acceptance has taken great steps forward yes, but history and recent discourse has shown that it can very easily step back. Equality, be it if for gay rights, womens rights etc, is something that should always be faught for. If everyone could just accept people as who they wanna be without judgement then that would great, but we ain’t anywhere near that utopia.Maybe because in my mind there is no need to put all kinds of letters and more to it creating Team A vs Team B... or Team A vs Team A, which it actually is, love is love and what you fall into in that area really just makes like the next one in line.

I very much agree with the ‘live in the moment’ attitude. Which is actually why I started blocking outright bigots in the first place. I have spend too much of my time in the past trying to debate people who just want to live in hate. It’s not worth it 90% of the time. Being openly tolerant of such intolerance, for me at least, is akin to accepting it.
To be fair, I do not think anyone is saying different. It fascinates me how, when these topics come up, people sternly say they do not want ‘one note characters all about their sexuality’ and like… yes? Of course? Never have I seen these threads, even troll ones like this, say different. No one wants a character who is a hollow stereotype, or who we meet jumping out of closest with rainbow Moogles (OK that would be kinda cool though.)IF we are ever gonna get more LGBT characters I'd rather they take their time and make them well made then just being gay is their trait the more you focus on the idea of a characters sexual orientation the less interesting they are prime example Shoreleve from Venture bros. or Gus and Wally from Mission Hill gay yes but not their selling point of being great characters.
