I just felt like DS went without saying, hence why I only spoke about BL which requires you to think about where your teammates are to maximize its effect. I wasn't saying they could forgo DS at all. It's not really pedantry since Dragonsight should always be used on a teammate unless they're all dead, thus you cannot ignore your teammates aside from Battle Litany.
It's actually really common for DRGs to ignore that part of Dragonsight ever since they allowed it to be used without targeting a partner.
Anyway, pedantry would be what I'm about to say with regards to SMN.
Even though it only has 4 hard cast spells, two of those casts are 3 second casts/recasts which lock the SMN in place for a bit longer than usual. They are tied to the same phase as its melee dash. This phase is actually somewhat restrictive for SMN and breaks its ranged contract. (Though the fiery book thwop of justice is hella cool imo)
