I’m sorry if I offended or confused you all but I don’t generally know what to do?

It kinda narrows down to how you like to play, if you like the more melee feel then dragoon would be up your ally, or if you liked more ranged attacks then summoner would be more your style. Both classes are really good in my opinion.
I'm a dragoon main but I have level'd both classes from lvl 1 and I honestly feel like dragoon was more fun to level than summoner, because summoner has a lot of tiny summons along with kind of boring attacks (from what I remember anyway, this is just my opinion though and of course it's different for everyone.) On the path of straightforwardness, I feel like in the beginning dragoon was more simple than summoner but as the levels got higher I felt like summoner got a lot more simple, because at the moment it kind of has a simple easy rotation. Dragoon has the same too, but summoners is extremely straightforward.
If you want my unbiased opinion I'd say go for dragoon, maybe the levels in the beginning are a bit boring and slow but dragoon definitely does give you that battle feel. Along with you can jump around a lot, and dodge aoe's or attacks easier.
Also I don't think you made anyone confused or offended, don't worry! ♥
Hmm...be a dragoon, then! The damage output is pretty good. Plus, from an aesthetic standpoint, the whole dragon theme that dragoon has pairs up well with Gothic fashion.
Then again, Summoner has Bahamut...
