I am still like... what does World of Warcraft have to do with everything? I mean? Come on?

There is loads of content to do... and if you think it all has to be friggen level 90 content, then you are dead wrong in it all...

You can start with Deep Dungeons for a starter? I mean PotD, HoH.... OE... alone there you got side content that can keep you busy for quite a while... Eureka... Bozja.... just some mentions of things to do.

And also if they finally plugged it so you can exploit yourself to an easy alliance roulette with ilevel exploiting down so it only will be crystal tower or lower end other stuff if you take note of the other roulettes as well, then you would see a break in the routines and maybe actually even a challenge or actual fun doing something else than same old same old lame crystal tower.

Just cut it out with being a World of Warcraft person trying to generalize FFXIV the same path as WoW.... it is not it is much different, especially if you actually decide to play the game.

Depends how much time you have to play. I play a few hours a week. I've been playing on and off since 2015, and steadily as my main MMO for about 2 years now. I've done PotD, but I haven't touched HoH yet. I've done almost all of the ARR relic weapons, but I still need to finish leveling NIN and then go for that last one. Every time I log in, I'm actively playing and not "just going AFK" somewhere. I just have limited play time, and with the frankly immense amount of content that FFXIV has produced over the years, there's still plenty I'm yet to do. I still have a few paths left on the Variant dungeon, and haven't even touched Criterion or IS yet. I'm still in the 30-50 range for most of my crafting and gathering classes. That you would assume people "just AFK" because they still have a ton of stuff to do (because there is a ton of stuff to do) seems disingenuous.

No it just means you aren't touching those specific things. You can finish IS in a casual 2 days? HoH 1 day, Variant 1 day. Crafting and Gathering can also be done in about 1-2 days each. You can solo all of Variant in a few hours. lol

I guess if you only have like 3 hours a week, then you'd get most of those done in 2-3 weeks though. Not to mention IS is time gated, so it's perfect for you.

The new gatherer tools take around 1.5 hours each (Except fishing, because i refuse to touch that).

That's.. an afternoon of content.. which was done basically afk watching YouTube.

There was no concentration required, it was just click 3 trees in a circle for an hour.

personally i find POTD mind numbingly boring for the first 10 hours until the later floors, and that is my reason for not doing it.

Everyone here kept telling me to go play world of warcraft if i want content, So that is exactly what i am doing, leveling my first character on there and so far, its not even that bad. the GCD is a little fast, but that makes combat a bit more faced paced, AOE indicators are terrible though, would be nice if they had more clear indicators.

Mob density is amazing so far, having more than 5 enemies in a grouping feels as if the class i am playing (warlock affliction) can actually use it's full kit, and all the damage numbers actually feels good.

Oh man, and I was even talking about 1-90 a whole ass Craft or Gather. Can literally be done in a day.

Also yeah, WoW has been pretty fun so far, actually gave it a try after all the XIV people kept saying it was shit all these years. It's extremely engaging in comparison.. I just hate the vague AoE swirlies, they're actual dogshit. You find a mod that fixes that.. Let me know. Also you can actually coop content in WoW, instead of playing make-believe that you're playing MSQ together.. :P

It's frustrating that XIV is struggling to keep up, and instead has now decided it doesn't even want to be in the race for that type of engaging casual combat content. But it honestly gave that up after Heavensward. lol

I think a lot of XIV's frustrations could be resolved by fixing the tick rate especially.

You guys literally have been asking for this. And for the record, a lot of people's reasonings for not still finishing content thats old is probably because they get distracted and take a break playing other shit and may be something that they'll come back later. Not every single person does every content. Just like some people havent gotten all entries in Sildih or have yet to max out their island and gotten its rewards or Im pretty sure some people forget that this patch also release crafter/gatherer relic tools.

So yeah this logic you're making is invalid.

Let me answer it another way... people still run raids even though it is something that is freequently added to the game, why? It is same old story each time just with a new skin and a different way of doing it, it is the exact same way of putting it, and people still does it?.

As said take a break if you are bored and come back later or never, it is all up to you, not the developers... besides you can't rush out content either.. it requires quite alot of stuff to be done to get it right.
