Agreed on the majority of this post. Oddly enough, the problem has been on display for the latter half of this thread. Either people that don't want to treat them as adults, or people that call them adults, but don't want to deal with the implications of that. Being blunt, there's far more likes on the harassment posts that came to bash on lalafell and myself. On a personal level, I'm unphased because I have 3+ people that couldn't respond to points I made so I'm considering that a win, but, in general, most people aren't as confrontational as me. When they have a bunch of people on youtube calling them idiots and having no life, and then get mocked in thread, have people triggering them on purpose, mocked by another thread in the same section, and the one person actually giving arguments on behalf of Square/the old RP community is getting borderline if not actually called a pedophile by several people. I'm used to fighting groups, but most other people wouldn't even want to deal with this. I'm personally in the halfway camp of just changing the chair name because changing people acting from emotion won't happen until there's another revision to Prohibited Behaviors and we can start getting people banned easier in-game, on other platforms and here on the forums as defamation charges that held for in-game chat and video/streaming services ran auto-10 days for violations as far as I'm aware, same camp as RMT and 3rd party software. Myself as well as other venue owners on Aether and Crystal (including A'leycat, shoutout to her because she had it nearly the roughest for a bit and toughed through it) were part of the reason for the last big update as a few people had connections to GM's to get certain issues we dealt with resolved, including the bits about clarification about sexual emotes, public defamation, doxxing, non-consideration of venue rules etc. like what I dealt with in the past. On a personal level, I don't see harassment of lalafell ending until Square does a revision that gives more power to that community like they did with venues, which is probably gonna take some big event to happen since this mob doesn't happen on JP. We weren't empowered as venues until around after 8-12 months of harassment and GM cooperation with quite literally hundreds of tickets. Although, we might be headed in that direction thanks to a particular person sharing youtube links that's putting lalafell through what we had to deal with as venues.
