Also speaking bout venues and Lalas in suggestive situations. Not trying to condone or condemn the lala side of it but all Lalas i know are without exceptions actually adults, who want to be treated (mostly lol) as such. On the other hand i know that a lot of underaged players run around Balmung and venues "for talls" who don't give a fork about with whom they do the naughty stuff with. Some venues even bragging with having underaged players working there. And lets not talk about the quicksand where the erp folks just take what they get.

Kinda silly that the ones crying about lalas crying are also the ones who are literally sexting daily in online brothels with minors. Don't think lalas are the problem here when half or more of the erp venue folks out there don't care at all about the age of their guests etc.

But ofc "you" don't know that so it's not your fault. Kinda a odd sense of morals you have there. Talk about a "get out of jail free card".

That's not the stance I take. Let me rephrase. If I don't know whether a lalafell in my bar is trying to ERP or whether they're just trying to roleplay a childlike character drinking, the safest option is to avoid that engagement completely. I cannot be held accountable for enabling something that I actively disallow. If someone playing one of the other races is underaged and trying to ERP on their femroe, for instance, that's much harder to spot or filter out than "this lalafell is a courtesan, I'm totally legal guys, lore!" and can be handled retroactively as they're outed. With a boot.

The only justifiable line to draw as a preemptive measure is to keep out the characters that look like toddlers from adult settings.

I honestly don't get it as i find it kinda funny some may def make fun of me but its fun XD i have one a personal level no reason to be mad of this as its just a item that i dont have or need.

If they do happen to go over bored whit it they are not worth the time. as i here in my corner of the world enjoy playing as a lalafell. And if they call me child just go ahead and do so cause i know hu i am and all i whant is to have fun and play the game i so dearly love to play.

And by eny luck spread that love and fun to others. >:3

But if I see someone using this exact same item as further leverage for more arguments about how "Lalas are just children", then interestingly, that's no longer a me issue, it's an issue that SE is perpetuating by giving ammunition to people who indeed make their own view other people's problems.

And I hope that since you seem to agree that people should handle their personal issues themselves, you will also call those doing that out (because they will emerge).

Or, you know, it would be very hypocritical otherwise.

P.S.: Oh also, while we're at it, how about you start by calling out those complaining about a complaint or those calling others "childish" while using childish retorts. I mean, it's only fair.

People can, and will, utilise anything incorrectly.. it's just a fact of life. That doesn't make it a problem for SE beyond dealing with the very few reports they'll get about it. It will still be a "you problem" for not liking how others use something, or a them problem for using it in a way that is forbidden (abuse, for example). Unless it's a fairly significant proportion of people utilising it for that purpose, then it's not an issue that needs dealing with in any way other than with a handful of bans and warnings.

As for people coming here to complain about a complaint, they have just as much right to complain about the complaint as OP did to complain about the item in the first instance. Obviously, there's no room for bullying/harassment within that scope, and people shouldn't be resorting to that for any reason whatsoever, but the fact remains that you can't have one side expressing their opinion whilst simultaneously telling the other side that they're not allowed to express their opinion.

Personally, I think this entire thread should be deleted and OP should start a new thread asking for a new item that caters to the part of the community that don't want their characters to resemble children in any way beyond stature -- that's not something anybody would have a valid reason to argue against since it isn't taking anything away from anyone. In all honesty, though, they could fix this entire issue by simply allowing full re-colouring of the item so that it optionally appears less child-like. Anybody continuing to cry about it having lalafell in the name needs a healthy dose of reality and quite possibly some professional help.

Edit: I actually slightly misspoke there; The people coming here to complain about OP's complaint have more of a right to complain than OP does, really, since they're trying to avoid having something taken away from them as OP is calling for. Hence my suggestion that a new thread be started asking for something without taking anything away from other players.

I once Was a lalafell. On Week One of Endwalker, I was forced to take Back healer group despite being a Reaper, because the healer for group 1, the melee group, decided they didn't want to be near a lalafell. And she was VERY vocal of her disgust.

The 'Joke' is not funny. I can go on about how If I throw a Dime through limsa, I'd hit more catgirls than I could Buy with one, and how the bunny people prolly thump their feet when their mad, and NOBODY is offended or Hurt by that.

People have Died because of the lengths of harassment people commit to on attacking the lalafell playerbase, insisting they Are children when they are NOT. It's not funny, not to us, not when others have to see it, and even the people Doing it very visibly have to force their laughter to keep the charade. It's Not Funny.

I agree now. I hope they outright remove the chair from the game, and I hope more people come to understand the suffering that Lalafells must endure for being Lalafells. We must fight for the Lalas!

Mind you, it's not simply a matter of me just "not liking it". If that's all there was to it, I wouldn't even be here. There's a lot of things in game that I don't like and not once I've complained, neither here or in general. Things change a lil bit when we legitimately have people ruining other people's time in game because they decided to make their issue other people's problems and, as stupid as it may sound, people will make use of this one instance as ammo to, you guessed it, make their issues other people's problem. I'll be the first one to suggest to just "report and move on", but guess what, that won't solve anything in general.
People are people and people will have dumb ideas or will project their weirdness on others, there's nothing anyone can do about it. One thing that would help is, I don't know... not giving those people extra ammo.

And second. No. The OP already edited the main post and also suggested simply a change, which I'm also more inclined to. The item doesn't need to go, but the name/description should be tweaked.

Also you're telling me they have more right? Have you read the responses at all? They're not even here to defend the item being there, they're here to just complain that the complain exists in the first place while calling those with the concern childish, while also using the phrasing a high-schooler would use.
