I bet you read over this once before posting and thought, yeah, this is definitely adding a unique voice and sentiment to the discussion that is sorely needed.

Who let the kindergarteners on the forums?

I'll preface what I'm about to say with the fact that I almost never post here. I have a Lala alt that I've been pretty dedicated to playing since late 3.X. She's been around for quite a while, and she has always been a serious character. Chaotic, but serious.
There are an awful lot of people in here with no self-awareness and no small amount of audacity talking on the topic of acting like children and telling people to grow up. Yikes.
Whether people like it or not, Lalas are adults. They are portrayed as such in the game and perceived as such by the people in the canon stories that are told. There are myriad examples of this, and plenty have been posted here already. It is what it is.
I personally don't see a need to remove the chair, but even I can see why people would take issue with how it's been presented.
The simple fact that the chair isn't fully dyeable is what's most insulting to me personally. There is absolutely no reason for gear and the vast majority of housing items to not have full dyeability - let alone lack dyeability in entirety - at this point in the game. The cushions change color, but I'm not about to stick a white and whatever other color chair in an apartment I designed around the premise of a Mhachi-era dwelling, replete with stone and torches and very grey color tones; it sticks out like a floodlight in a forest at 3AM. (See attached screenshot)
Which is a shame, because except for that one fact, it suits my needs pretty well.
Even if you disregard the entire topic around the tooltip, name, presentation, whatever - this chair does not do well at adapting to different styles. It very much comes off as a phoned-in item that was intended to make a joke, and as someone else here has said: that joke feels very much like someone tried to copy Koji's style of humor and failed. Gotta call this an L all around.
Maybe if they did it how certain gears items with multiple default colors do, where dying it changes the different colors into different shades, I'd be fine with it. To use an example, the Augmented Healer's Robe (WHM's AF1) goes from a white-and-red theme to a rather consistent set of black and gray if you dye it Soot Black.
As far as everything else, I think if enough people are clamoring for the description to be changed then SE ought to consider doing so. That's the whole point of the feedback section of the forums, to give feedback.
Changing it in this way has zero effect on the people who don't care about it - to include me. The adversarial behavior on display in here over the idea is disappointing, to say the least.

Jesus, why are lalafell players act like they are the only ones who being fun at?
Have you guys ever seen the jokes and mocking other race get?

Can't say I've ever seen examples of people being booted from Party Finder or shunned from RP venues on account of being a catboy or an Au Ra, so no, not really.Jesus, why are lalafell players act like they are the only ones who being fun at?

Lalas are definitely being mocked at most. And definitely the only one that are being mocked at within descriptions ingame. Just read any description for any popoto variety.
And i can easily catch myself mocking at lalas, just as i laughed at this chair.
But the problem is also the other way around. Lala only furniture would be discriminating towards all other races (of which some do suffer quite heavily from glam restrictions). And we already cant even reach all buildings in the game. Lalas have an advantage at this part because as mascotte, they will make sure everything works for them.
Yet its nowhere near as heavy as the lalafel mocking, since while the glam restrictions are anoying, they arent exclusive for a single race (and often still do feature some alternatives). Lalas however can be denied by players, which instead of passive discrimination by ingame limitations, is something that gets rubbed in by players. Which is a much heavier form of discrimination (and in some cases deserved, just like sometimes in real life it also is: a female toilet is still a female toilet)

I mean if you got any feel free to share. I got an archive... cause I have to to proof it apparently idk if you know any other race that needs to proof that they are being harassed vs Lala's. Idk any race that gets kicked out Venues even SFW or Parties unless its Lala's. Literally I can't name a race that gets treated as if they need to experience a genocide. Name another Race go right ahead, then screenshot that experience if you so please and I am all ears. Harassment of any kind is not acceptable. But to claim just cause it happens to us and we point it out? and you assume that we want to claim that it doesn't happen to others? is a bold statement. We just say it happens. There. Now it happens to you go right ahead and share. I am sure you have the same amount of evidence and experience have, I am sure of it... and I am sure when you report them all they do not continue to harass or stalk you either I am sure of it.ah yes, this will definitely proof only lalafellin suffer harassments over their chosen race.
Look mate, im not gonna say harassments over lalafell is good cuz its definitely not, but you guys should stop assuming only lalafell get harassed for their chosen pixel race
Ppl seriously losing sleep over some pixel chair
