This is one of the most overlooked points.

The people saying the game has so much stuff to do, are people that have only played for 2 years or don't play the game much overall.

People that play XIV as their main game, have finished a majority of the games content and want more content to do.

Starting the game now, would be overwhelming. Two years down the track, the endgame would seem bland.

I've been here since alpha of 1.0 and I still have plenty to do. Its always the people who have join dates on the forums of less than 2 years saying how people who have been around for ages believe.


And yes I'm generalizing to show how ridiculous that is. Not everyone who has been around for ages is out of content to do, and not everyone who joined recently thinks that everyone who has been around for ages is out of content to do.




Most people don't participate in all content the game offers, and that's fine. But to say the game has no content left to do for anyone who has been around forever is silly, especially if they don't consume at the same rate. I'm a casual player at heart. I don't put a hundred hours in on savage patches. I clear 2-3 months into the tier. We only raid 3 nights a week for a couple hours.



I didn't even start big fishing until stormblood. I just now caught up to this expansions fish, going expansion by expansion. I've started doing PVP stuff recently, because I hated it for years and the classes felt terrible to play, but the new changes make it more bearable.


Solo Deep Dungeon clears are now on the table for me, because I have more time to do them when I'm not doing savage. I never completed a relic in Eureka because I hated the content and none of my friends were into it, but I can slowly pick away at it now.

And yet, they added new stuff and people aren't all that into it either. Apparently for criterion to be worth running a reward is required. New content for new contents sake isn't enough.

Just as players on the WoW forums said the same thing to those that also had the same issue. Doesn't mean their complaints were invalid.

If you look at my Achievements, yes you could make the argument that I still have things to do. But on the other hand, there's a lot of bullshit that I just refuse to actively grind. Because giving me an imaginary number isn't content.

Oh no, actually you'll just tell me I need to get the Necromancer title. That's more reasonable.

Forum Join Dates don't matter. Stop being weird. I was in 1.0 Beta too and have 1.0 Collector's Edition.

Also, you can't tell us the reason you have content is because you've neglected old content all these years, in the same sentence as telling us you're from 1.0. That doesn't just magically mean we have content to do during the Endwalker cycle just because you neglected old stuff. The discussion isn't around how much OLD shit we have left to do. It's about how much ENDWALKER is providing us. TODAY. Not what Heavensward was providing us YESTERDAY. Who cares what USED to be. That's not the discussion, it shouldn't even be on the table here.
