    I like the idea of exploration areas and I loved Eureka, the areas were cool and the lore is so mystifying.

    Despite what some might think, the only two forms of grind the devs think of is exploration area or grind reusing old content.

    I like traveling new areas and partying up with others to grind.

    Regardless, it's not like they can make us do anything but grind. Relics will never be locked behind difficult content so they pad it out with long grinds.

    I don't think I'll ever understand why people who hate grinds feel like they'd be literally compelled to complete an optional grind if it was added.

    Add a grind for the people who want it, and make it optional so the people who don't want to do it don't have to. It's the same thing as ultimates, not everyone needs to do them. They shouldn't design relic grinds for the uber casual who wants to log in every 4-6 months for the MSQ. If you don't want to grind, then just don't do it and stick to the MSQ.

    Since we are not getting a Field Operation this xpac I am 100% sure at least 1 step of the relic are gonna require Crystal tower drops or Spam

    I'm also pretty sure they are not gonna put Eureka Orthos in the relic chain, as per "classic relics" had the goal to populate older content, them putting the new content as part of the relic would be against the entire idea of the relic grind (wich is pretty terrible lol)

    I do expect them to slap HoH on it, since Bozja had PoTD grind attached. Maybe they tie Nier raids too, to push more people into unlocking them

    It would be nice if they tied Gold saucer multiplayer-activities into it. But I fully expect the playerbase to just afk verminion and chocobo racing matches, so, sadly I don't see that one happening, but I wish

    This is all I want. Seriously CT doesn't need any kind of boost, but the Nier raids definitely do.

    There are different kinds of grinds.

    Korean style isn't fun to most western audiences, especially when you consider one of the marketing points of FFXIV is the ability to switch jobs on the fly.

    Having massive grinds on relic weapons counters that selling point.

    Re: Eureka / Bozja a lot of people don't like being forced in there to complete the relics, all they asking for is the option to do them outside of it for various personal reasons (which the devs appear to be receptive to outside of the CLL / Dalriada clear requirements).

    Like, that initial step of the Bozja weapons where you had to run like 60 FATES per weapon just really put me off. cut that down to 10 or 15 per area instead of 20 and that'd be much more palatable for me.
    It's small, but it helps.

    I was happy with the 15 DR runs, and that ended up being the step that got nerfed iirc.

    I agree. If we're to nerf anything right now in Bozja, it's the "20 of each" on For Want of a Memory. I don't even care about the rest of the AST relic weapon on my alt, I just want Solstice Recollection. But goddamn, it feels like I'd be halfway through an Anima at this point -._.-

    It's still a 15 requirement, they just increased the obtain from 1 to 3 (so 5 total runs), meanwhile they haven't touched the drop rate from POTD / HoH (it's abysmal) effectively requiring you to be in Bozja for this step.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
