Well, to be fully honest. Arent they getting a new people in their dev team? Those reworks of old content are probably done mainly by those new devs.

Also, FF14 grows. We all want it to grow. but that also means, their team shoould grow and they should expand the game to new possibilities. People are never mad at the game because they want to. They love it and want it to be sucesfull and spend every time in it. Its more pressure on the devs, but you cant ever say No to your players.

The ones that SE "borrowed" for XVI is slowly moving back to XIV I would assume since 16 is getting close to being complete. Hopefully they will have something to show by 7.0 but putting hope in a large company has rarely been a good move, lol.

Who says you can't do both? Besides, I though the devs stopped putting stock into the forums a long time ago, lmao.

Do both? No clue what that means exactly. But I'll bite.
If a fast food joint has lowered the quality of their foods to a level you personally dislike, you wouldnt continue to buy food from them. Losing customers is what makes companies move. If you're writing bad reviews but still going there every day (making this known) they don't care as they're still getting your money. They've no reason to change anything. That's my point. So yes you can complain and still stay subbed, just understand that it's not going to be as effective doing that.

ARR came about due to people leaving 1.0. Just sayin

You know you can still enjoy something while pointing out their shortcomings, especially when they have done better in the past. For example, why lock out viera and hrothgar helms by citing clipping? Half of the modern gearsets that they release clip like a bad doom mod as soon as you move so why use that excuse? Come on, you gotta do better than "Just unsub, hater!". That sort player mentality killed WoW and other MMOs in the past. Though considering how people are, we sure do love to repeat history, lmao.

Ok...I wanted to believe you were paying attention but it's clear here you aren't. First off I specifically mentioned folk who complain all the time. You know the ones that say the game is dead, dying, boring? Not the average player that has some grievances. I've never ONCE called anyone a hater. All I did was simply give some advice to said EXTREME side if they want to be heard by the devs. No where near a "just unsub hater"...this is exactly what I was referring to btw. Yall hop to these conclusions any time someone says something you don't like. I'm trying to help. Literally that was my only goal with that post...

You are right in the sense that money talks. However, when people are more than happy to engage in a product that is showing lethargy through slimmer patches and leaning harder and harder on a cash shop in a game where you already pay for a subscription then even if you leave, the rot has already set in. In WoW terms it feels like ShB was their WotLK and EW feels more and more like Panderia as the patches go on.
"they don't care as they're still getting your money. They've no reason to change anything. That's my point. So yes you can complain and still stay subbed, just understand that it's not going to be as effective doing that."
And here is where the argument falls apart, sure some may leave due to the decline but there are plenty more ready to pay the subscription AND engage with the mogshop. Suddenly those people leaving won't matter to SE's bottom line. Besides, are you really going to cite SE's business practices as smart? If that's the case then I can't wait for the eventual NFT malarkey in XIV. That's is going to be a glorious ____show! lol

Then all I'll say is complain to your hearts content. Just don't expect people (SE included) to take you seriously if you're constantly throwing money at it despite saying the game it trash, boring etc. I personally drop games I'm not having fun in after I've said my piece. I left Vindictus like that for example. I'm not spending my money on a product I'm not enjoying, point blank period

Btw if people are spending that much and folks leaving doesn't effect much wouldn't mean there's something going right more than not? Just a wonder

This statement is absurd. Game companies say or imply "no" on a regular basis.

"The Customer is Always Right" was a retail sales slogan for department store staff in the 19th century, not a manifesto for game developers. It is a stupid slogan when one considers those "customers" who are either dishonest or unrealistic in their expectations.

A game company that never says "no" to players is a game company on its way to bankruptcy.

If you really enjoy the battle design of World of Warcraft, with Raids and Mythic Dungeons, subscribe to that game and play it. You can stay subscribed for the things you apparently enjoy about this game as well. There isn't any law that forbids players from enjoying multiple MMORPGs at the same time.

Its very refreshing to see some sense on these Forums sometimes.

A game company that dont try to please its playerbase is also on its way to bankruptcy. Holy shit. Everything you have spoken so far is absoluttely out of the original meaning and you are taking everything out of yer arse.

Also, you know nothing about WOW it seems. In wow, you werent some fricking warrior of light, with the size of potato defeating big bad for good. You are literally just one of the soldiers. Since they have taken the "hero" route, all the story went to shit. It never was meant to be story like FF. Those 2 games had completly different story telling and completly different environment for it.

ALso, we are not speaking about story here. Wtf are you about. Are you just on some crusade to defeat all those FF haters, who dares to speak about your loveable game with pristine best story ever? Cmoon.
