    Personally I prefer the current healer roles. Depending upon the healer that the select, it can be a very strong support job, and if we we are discussing FL, if you are in a party with a different healer, then you can support each other quite well. You can combine potentially strong LB, CC and damage to both support your party, protect yourself and get kills and that is fun for me.

    As others have pointed out, every job has defensive skills as well as some healing ability now as well as some extremely high DR in some cases. In addition, in PVP, sometimes people will just die, due to a lack of situational awareness, being out of range, are off off on their own, etc.

    PvP is agnostic now. There are no roles anymore, which imo is a good thing. You have flavors of your job as dps/healer/tank, but the overall design is intended to be role agnostic.

    AST is quite good in PVP for heals imo - this is in frontlines tho.

    If you see someone's HP plummet you can save them with aspected benefic then a double cast aspected benefic.

    I like buff jobs in PVP, I main BRD but if there's too many I switch to AST.

    Double cast gravity is a recuperation waster for your opponent and I just spam cards when I can!

    (Damn you Bole when the ice comes up in fields of glory! I feel like a right clown playing it when no other teams are around!)

    FLs has always been like that.

    However point taken for rescue, that was a fun skill to use. Replace stupid polymorph with this and I'd be pretty happy tbh.

    I am much more likely to save someone by using my gravity rather than benefic on them, especially considering how much DR some jobs have. However macrocosmos+microcosmos, cards and LB is a very different story.

    I think having healers behave as they were before would just ultimately be very bad. Pre-rework they contributed a lot towards the long drawn out fights in the Feast since a good healer could just never let anyone die, especially when they would combine it with the existing defensives. Even in Frontlines, if you fought a team with two or three healers, and yours didn't it was basically gg. I do agree the game does need more ways to have personal survivability, specifically speaking from a CC perspective, would be cool but I don't wanna go back to the way they were before.

    Doubt that. You do know the benefits scale the lower the hp of the target is, right?

    I've done it multiple times where it gives them time to breathe.

    Plus the dualcast is instant. Do microcosmos for dos. It's a good AOE and let it accumulate damage. It get like 4k potency PLUS 25% damage in a heal.

    You doubt what? That gravity is useful? That microcosmos and AST LB are useful? I wasn't trying to saying that, I may have expressed myself poorly, I was saying that that you SHOULD be using that, and in terms of assisting your party I find them used more often and to more benefit that try to cast a benefic on someone or even multiple people.

    Do you know how to play AST in PVP?

    Ok I'll break it down, for frontlines. They are the best healer.

    We have expected benefic, 5k pot increases upto 10k pot when a targets under 50% hp.

    Now, if we dual cast that, it's a 20k up to them PLUS a recent AND a shield.

    Microcosmos hits for a potency of 12k, AND heals all party members (who don't die) for 25% of their damage taken.

    Now let's talk abilities and cards.

    Gravity can dual cast for a slow on the first target and a slow, it also does AOE damage.

    Anymore problems?
