So don't? Leave the wards as they are but instead of adding more every once in a blue moon, work towards a long term solution like instanced housing. They've done literally nothing to alleviate a system that was never designed to handle the massive demand housing has.

The point is that you cant punish legit players because of some players misbehaving.

SE already punished the players by not handling the issue properly from the start (like 1 FC buying an entire ward). They can't fix this issue anymore, and here we are with the current status regarding housing.

If the problem is unable to be fixed anymore I don't understand the point of complaining about it. It's something that just kinda has to be dealt with.

Listen, I really understand why they do it in good faith. However there will always be something happening in the world that limits people in affected areas playing the game. Not to mention personal issues that can suddenly impact one's life. Disabling demolition is not a solution, it's a bandaid for the terrible system in place.

For how unpredictable life can be there will always be someone losing their house when instead there should be a feature you can activate online (mogstation), maybe once or twice in the time of ownership, to guard your house for demolition in case of emergency.

Personally, this is the way to do it. If there are natural or manmade disasters affecting a region, suspend auto-demolition for that region. It is always a bone of contention when they should restart it, but that's a different conversation.
