Not saying anticheat are malware, but be saying anticheat slow down games and get their hands on more than they should. I don't care about that, as I do think that we already have no privacy to begin with, and I don't really mind because I've gotten to terms with that, but you can't blame people for defending theirs.

Why do they need to do anything about it? They arent responsible for what mods people install and it seems the community is quite capable of handling this situation themselves.

Anyway, I think this maaay be a big deal if Yoshida finds out about this drama. Since Gshade was really one of the only few third party programs that can be openly talked about and they have gone on record in the past that them was an exception due to its implementation.


However the fact that the tool dev did something this malicious is just going to throw more fuel into the already on going fire with 3rd party programs with what the drama we just had with TOP. You should absolutely be considering how this will affect their stance on 3rd party even more. How about you quit acting like the devs dont matter when its their game and they're the ones who will ultimately start cracking down on everything we do because of light of this situation with a commonly used tool for the game. This is not about whether the community can handle itself, its about the attitude were expressing to the dev team whom already are getting sick and tired of dealing with our bs time and time again.

Am I though? What are you people going to do when the only ones left playing the game are modders and then the mod community takes things too far? Square enix disables mods, all the parsers quit, and then what? Nobody is left.

You're creating a community that is dependent on unsupported third party addons that are against the ToS. If they stop respecting the legit player and only pander to addon abusers, guess what? It's not sustainable and it's likely to blow up in their faces. Legitimate players should always be valued above the cheaters and rule breakers. They are the ones that will support the game as is. They don't hold the developers hostage by saying things like "we will all quit if you disable parsing and ACT."

They just enjoy the game. You people are killing it for the demographic that actually matters, and square enix will lose if they continue to support your side.

Fact is, I cancelled my sub over the omega stink, and I'm definitely not alone. Fair play matters a lot to certain types of people.

He knows. Oh I guarantee that he knows. That two thing on 3rd party programs on two big communities in a little bit over a week. They're probably accessing the situation. If someone got there stuff stolen or have something malicious done to them and they decide to sue the gshade dev, SQenix could technically get dragged into it.
