I get where people are coming from with it, don't get me wrong - But people absolutely forget just how barebones Anemos was. The only redeemable factor behind that content is that it was tied behind a relic.I would love to have more trials or dungeons etc but then once again they are sort of one and done types of content as well...also without actual numbers I bet way more people are playing island sanctuary then we think. Yeah its barebones but they started a foundation...that's like comparing an animal crossing game from its inception to current release, vastly different. If by the Islands expansion nothing has really changed then we can all be in agreement of it being a waste. Its not even about cutting too...the game caters to MULTIPLE demographics....that's not just me and you and our tastes...its funny that...you know trying to widen the net to get more revenue lol.
Haha beat me too it on what I was getting that lol.
Or this constant allocation of resources debate.... oh they added more dungeons in the past blah blah...they've reworked pvp....reworked some ARR dungeons and redone boss mechanics on multiple early dungeons to provide better flow and consistency to the games wider mechanics. Just cause they aren't making new zones doesn't mean they haven't done nothing.....like when I look at wows roadmap or new world etc its barren compared to what we get...heck ESO is painful XD
Perhaps that particular part of that particular content (the ilvl of the weapon) just doesn't have you as its intended audience. See, for me, I don't do Savage or whatever it is that gives you the 625 weapons. Kuroka mentioned being on 15/18 for those weapons. I'm on 0/18. For someone like me, the ilvl aspect of the Manderville weapons is cool. I have one class with a 620 weapon that doesn't use the 615 Manderville. The rest of my 90's use the 615 Manderville because it's a benefit for them. It's okay for some piece of the game to not be designed specifically for you. That doesn't make it "bad" design; in fact, it's quite the opposite. It's excellent design because it helps the game appeal to a larger variety of people.Yeah literally no point other then aesthetic. FFXI on the othe hand have grinds that rewarded you for your time and that gear would last you several months. In XIV it's dime a dozen. And they always release relic cycles 2 patches too late when they should be releasing relic steps alongside each new raid tier so the raiders have content to get their raid gear and casual players have a grind to get relic gear.
Bad design IMO but it pads out the game when it has no content left.
It's still only 1-2 times after their initial post the vast majority of the time. They are so uninvested in their own trolling that they are stupid easy to spot and reportable for trying to incite people to flame wars.
Well usually with Aveyond is he communicates with someone showing a lick of a similar opinion to his own...its a rather sad existence honestly. Not sure why they can't just be permabanned cause they show no sign of being constructive...its his way or the highway.
Not when you put it 2 patches apart from each other it isn't. If you want the game to appeal to more people wouldn't you have a raid upgrade and a relic upgrade at the same time? It's poor design that limits what players can do in a given timeframe. More gatekeeping.Perhaps that particular part of that particular content (the ilvl of the weapon) just doesn't have you as its intended audience. I'm advocating for different approachs and options for gear progression at the same time. Instead of being pidgeonholed into one activity at a time. Why not offer more? Given that relic grinds are about doing content released one xpac ago over and over again which has no bearing on current content?
