What i hate teh most is that all the grindy stuff that would kill time perfectly comes so late, its almost poinltess... like im on 15/18 ilv 625 weapons... why i again should i bother the most likely 625 relic, even if it has max stats, if its just for literally 3-4 weeks at most...

It's always been like this. The game has never hidden what it is. It's surprising to me that people expect it to be different each expansion, like we haven't had 10 years of precedent.

You wouldn't be the first to call him insane. It was established a while back that he's really quite delusional (or just a very specific troll. I lean towards the former).

If these patch cycles bore people then there's the door. Come back when you want to cram more into each month subscribed. I'm sure some only come back every expansion release, which is how things were before this game came along. People would be done in a month and just come back the next time around.

A lot of us are content to just hang around and do whatever... help whoever passes through.

Yeah literally no point other then aesthetic. FFXI on the othe hand have grinds that rewarded you for your time and that gear would last you several months. In XIV it's dime a dozen. And they always release relic cycles 2 patches too late when they should be releasing relic steps alongside each new raid tier so the raiders have content to get their raid gear and casual players have a grind to get relic gear.

Bad design IMO but it pads out the game when it has no content left.

Perhaps that particular part of that particular content (the ilvl of the weapon) just doesn't have you as its intended audience. See, for me, I don't do Savage or whatever it is that gives you the 625 weapons. Kuroka mentioned being on 15/18 for those weapons. I'm on 0/18. For someone like me, the ilvl aspect of the Manderville weapons is cool. I have one class with a 620 weapon that doesn't use the 615 Manderville. The rest of my 90's use the 615 Manderville because it's a benefit for them. It's okay for some piece of the game to not be designed specifically for you. That doesn't make it "bad" design; in fact, it's quite the opposite. It's excellent design because it helps the game appeal to a larger variety of people.

Not when you put it 2 patches apart from each other it isn't. If you want the game to appeal to more people wouldn't you have a raid upgrade and a relic upgrade at the same time? It's poor design that limits what players can do in a given timeframe. More gatekeeping.

I'm advocating for different approachs and options for gear progression at the same time. Instead of being pidgeonholed into one activity at a time. Why not offer more? Given that relic grinds are about doing content released one xpac ago over and over again which has no bearing on current content?

Oh be real for once. You know darn well what he does and why people are against him half the time. If you're going to spout hyperboles like this, then you have enough mental capacity to understand why people have either lost their patience with him. People can and have agreed with him before. But the moment they disagree with him, he turns hostile and uses stretched out logic just to shut them down. That's no way to have a dialogue.

OK, but we can't get super ultimate. Heaven on high wasn't a new feature. Just potd with less floors and summon magicite.

Criterion is 4 man savage, which people were asking for. It just needs tweaks, like eureka did. Anemos was terrible and pagos was worse.

Also, isn't blue mage hated on for being limited?

I thought Criterion's issue were the rewards?
And yes, BLU is often hated on for being a Limited Job rather than a proper one.
