Brutal honesty incoming. Alot of you console players need pc players to clear content because alot of you console players can't see that you're being outdamaged by a white mage as a dragoon. The amount of blissful ignorance console players have. I say this as someone who was console 2 years ago. Making an all console version of FFXIV would be a disservice to console players.

Not that it really matters since this game's content is so easy anyway compared to other MMOs. Nobody cares if console players need PC players nor vice versa. Just that everyone should enjoy the game

It matters in content with strict dps checks. And strict dps checks have becoming even more common this expansion, unless console players have no interest in ultimate or savage fights. Separating pc from console will not stop console from saying pc has an unfair advantage. It will do the opposite when people see the clear rates on pc are 3 times higher than console. I'm not saying all console players perform badly. But a good 60 to 70% of the ones I have encountered do and it's not necessarily their fault. They just have no clue they're doing poorly because they can't see it.

Only because you keep cheating to clear said content, if you didn't cheat the content didn't need to have strict dps checks were you need to be using a parser or whatever you use...
They should just release a version of the FFXI absolute virtue but impossible to beat without cheats, ao they could ban everyone that clears it

when you remove the main reason for BiS existing, most people won't bother getting it. they'll kill the tier within the first 4 weeks and unsub until the next tier.

there was a reason SE waited so long to tell ppl DSR wasn't gonna drop in 5.5 back when Eden's Promise dropped.

This game never required BiS to do 99% of the content, it's not designed around everyone needing to get BiS. I'm fine if that goes along with the ultimate WF twitchers.

Again nobody really cares in the grand scheme of things, nor should you. I get what you mean but maybe stop thinking that this is a console vs pc issue? Strict dps checks only matter in the early weeks of released content, which only a select few even care about progging seriously. Once everybody gets gear upgrades in the later months, those dps checks are less of an issue.

I mean, if were going to continue treating console players as super casuals anyways.

if you remove the content that does require it, people who only care about raiding are going to do the raids once, and then unsub.

as in, not pay SE for months, until the next tier.
