Nope, Lalafell (link to the thread I got the image from).

Though Hrothgar have a bunch of glitches elsewhere, least of which their own animations But that's neither here nor there.

That's the Fat Cat suit, it was weirdly glitched on Lalafells with stuff like that. I posted the link to the thread on it, I promise you it's safe (#InternetPromisesFromARando)

It was glitched out when it was released, I have no idea if it got fixed. The fact that people had to pay real money for it, since it's a Mogstation item only makes it so much worse xD

Genderlocked items despite a push to remove those restrictions, removal of racial features and awkward glitching on paid items. SE's a riot.

Yeah, their quality control...isn't so great. Which is why I mentioned my cynicism towards SE earlier in this thread.

I don't know how their schedule is, but it seems that the devs enjoy the method of "Release now, fix later". Unfortunately, some things go unfixed for a long time...

Oof! After finishing the event quest I agree, they really dropped the ball with gender-locked glams. This is embarrassing.



As some others have speculated, I have to assume this is a case of the story writers and the glam designers not being on the same page. It's not that clothing items are intentionally "locked," it's that they must be manually adjusted/redesigned for each body type. I guess the people who made the costumes weren't informed of the nature of the quest's themes and thus thought it was "business as usual" and did the traditional thing before being instructed otherwise.

Still, if this was done in error, I feel like they should release some sort of statement along the lines of "Sorry folks, we goofed. Key info wasn't relayed to our design team in time. We will get around to unlocking the outfits when we can, but in the meantime please feel encouraged to buy both sets and store in the armoire for later. Please look forward to it."

Many pieces of equipment are already keyed to work for both genders. Allowing them to be used as such is typically a matter of changing a single value. That said, there are quite a few pieces of gear not already configured for both, and you can get some pretty horrific results by trying to brute force the issue. I do not believe these clothing pieces are set up for that yet. If nothing else, the weight painting probably isn't there.

...Would be awfully fun to read player reactions were the value governing gender-locking to be set to both without the clothes being ready for it, though.

imo they ran into fitting issues regardless. I don't have a pic on hand but ask a male au ra to put on the new item. it gives them the curviest waist in the world, even curvier than some females lol
and then on non-lalafell female races, the dress looks... idk, it's hard to describe. on lalafell it looks pretty good, but on "tall" females it looks like it's almost too small?

"Curviest waist in the world" is standard for male Au Ra. I've tried it on my alt and it has the same silhouette as the Palaka top and probably all similar fitted shirts. The bottom edge of the shirt looks odd though, and maybe the exact design the top highlights the waist more than other things do.

And yeah, the dress really looks too short. I said earlier that it feels like we all got the Lalafell-proportioned dress – it just looks awkward to me.

You can see that while it isn't exactly the same shape on each race, the relative position of the character's hands to the hem of their skirt makes the dress relatively shorter on the tall races than the Lalafell.

Definitely. It feels so conspicuous that the quest should end with the characters saying how important it is for you to wear what you want, and then the quest complete screen pops up offering you the choice of which outfit you want.

It really would have been helpful for them to be upfront about intending to do it and then running out of time, rather than pretending this is intentional and everything's fine when it's so clearly not.

You're right. They should've just skipped the backlog of gender locked gear, so folks could get the immediate satisfaction. Lesson learned.
