All we can do is complain while the ones splurging their money do so. I can imagine something really amazing being introduced soon, but on a hefty $50 tag because a lot of people bought something at $45 previously.

I'm working every day and barely have any free time (9 vacation days this year out of 24) because I have nobody that helps me (am an assistant for a lawyer)
I'm hoarding a lot of money because I know how to not just spend it all

Sometimes I'm feeling like it and endulge myself in commissions and sometimes, I buy items from the mogstation (or gift them, either way)


Not everybody that has money to spare is somehow a rich kid and "wasting" money on your hobby is your choice
I'm wasting less than my sister, that smokes, is into makeup, is into fashion, shoes, etc etc etc and always needs some new shit.

I do what makes me happy sometimes okay, i'm really stressed and exhausted because I have barely any day I don't have to work other than weekends, okay...

then either of those things happen and another portion goes: "omg this is so lazy and cheap why is that happening"

I didn't buy anything unneccessary when I didn't have a job and was struggling to find one and was struggling in school and struggling to have any money for anything.
I wanted to, but I did not.

I have my job for a bit over 2 years now, I'm finally in a situation where i can spend money.
So I will.

Edit: I could still afford things like games and some goodies here and there back then but I didn't get to have many things I wanted.
Now I can but still don't because I like just having extra money for any emergency.

I literally know how much it sucks to not have something you want sometimes, I was in that boat not too long ago. Me getting this job was the best thing that happened to me, even tho it happened for bad reasons.

Telling others that they shouldn't spend money on their hobby because it's all so "overpriced" just never was in my mind. I spend 1k on a commision that is absolutely beatiful once and I have 0 regrets about it. Even though others may say 1k for a picture is way too much and i Should have spend it smarter or whatever, I don't care.

Other hobbies are legit way more overpriced, even smoking and alcohol and partying alone are, so a company making money even tho "they have so much, are big company, ree" isn't the worst thing to me. It feels like people forget that companies aren't your friends and have to make money because making games costs a lot of money, too. They don't just keep it, they use it to make more games.
Is it a lot for a set? I'm not gonna say no.
Did I still gift it to a friend? Yes
Do i regret it? No, she looks adorable in the sets she made

My present financial situation is essentially that. I couldn't partake in the sale save one Fantasia because I simply couldn't afford what are luxury purchases beyond my sub itself. Which, to be fair, is higher since I have multiple retainers. Guess what I do? Don't buy things. It's that simple. Granted, I already have a lot of items on my main character but I've wanted the Megashiba for a while now. I just have more important things to spend money on. I could sit here and shake my fist at the nasty company... or just wait until my financial improves to where I can afford to splurge should I choose.

It's never enough for Squeenix. Even during a sale store items are insanely overpriced. I couldn't buy anything this year because the prices are just too damned high for my meager budget. How do they justify these outrageously high prices? How do people justify paying them? $42 dollars for a mount? Who has that kind of money!?

I had feared this pricing would become the norm. It seems to be because there are shorts and halfslops, at least that is what I presume would be the justification for this. Appeasing the fanbase with pieces that work on both has it's costs, it seems.

Rich people can do whatever and everyone else hopes they can find happiness somehow.

It's not even about being rich, at least not with something like this. I have a very tight budget, and I still allocate a certain portion every month to buy things like this - if I like it. I don't have many other hobbies, so something like this is just me spending on myself.

It can be about being rich, and can get really bad however, for sure. Like in mobile gaming. Someone who spends $100k on a game, is a lot more valuable than a free to play player, or someone who only spends $15 a month.
