    Since there is a thread here already I'll just add to this. I'm playing from Malaysia on Crystal server. And I use a VPN to mitigate my own ISP's packet loss so I can have somewhat stable and consistent ping.

    Before today, my experience with the lag is as follows:
    with VPN on:
    - I can play in 8-man content relatively normally. Some unusual lag/packet loss but nothing too severe.
    - I CANNOT function in the overworld or instances with more than 20 people (I don't know what the minimum threshold is), so I cannot function in fates, hunt trains, alliance raid, gold saucer instances, city-state hubs

    without VPN on:
    - the overworld and instance issue is fine. 8-man content is fine I just have to deal with the higher ping.

    Today:
    the exact opposite of the above happened.

    The fact that this problem flip flops with no rhyme or reason is really starting to make things difficult. Having to log in and log out constantly to try things. Being unable to function in content and unintentionally wasting other people's time in alliance raid, it doesn't feel good.

    I really hope this can be addressed. I don't know what information is even needed from me to help with any kind of investigation, but please whatever was done, I hope it can be resolved.

    Evening from here, I'm a player from the EU who's mainly active in the NA Crystal server (Most of my friends are there after all). I too have the issue of package loss after the patch update to 6.3. Never had it before until now... especially since I have "good" connection from my place to the Crystal Servers and didn't run into any problems prior to the patch rollout.

    Dc'd like 7 times today during The Tam-Tara Deepcroft (The 2nd 4-man Dungeon you ever get into) when I simply wanted to do my daily Duty Roulette to level up the Paladin Tank class! Even over world wise can I feel package losses and lag spikes, like it takes a lttile while for my character to load in if I teleport from Old Gridania to North Shroud for example. Sometimes my character doesn't load in at all and it simply dc's me from the position I was in. The issue's really frustrating since I am in love with the game and the friendly community in it!

    Did all the same things KhevanFarstryder did too, got no package loss between the fiber and the router and from the router over LAN cable to my PC... even updated my network's firmware and on top of that exchanged my old LAN Cable with a new one in case it was that but it wasn't the issue. Friends told me to try out VPN, which doesn't work for me, then check if the Antivirus program could be the case (Using Avira here) but it wasn't the issue either. I'm honestly at my wits end regarding problems one can fix on their own so it only can be a fault on their end... let's hope they can fix it.

    i on Tonberry and experiencing constant lagging since 6.3 and since few days ago, it become worse. lagging in deep dungeon like potd, hoh and roulette dungeon. even in town lagging with delay clicking to npc. me and my friends struggling in dungeon due to crazy lag. even end up get wiped. please help!

    Hi! Am a player in Singapore with connection issues that have only gotten worse and worse since 6.31 dropped.

    I play on Crystal DC. The lag was not too problematic at first. Just a bit of spikes here and there. In the last 2 or 3 days they have gotten so bad (up to 20s long lag spikes or more) that the game is now literally unplayable; currently I cannot even log in without:

    1) getting disconnected trying to access the character selection screen, or
    2) getting lag disconnecting within a minute after logging into the game

    I have tested the following:
    1) Pinged the Crystal DC (result was 203ms which is normal for me)
    2) Pinged my ISP server (result was also normal for me)
    3) Restarted my router, modem, computer
    4) Made sure my drivers are up to date

    Note that while FFXIV suffers from extreme connection issues for me, general internet usage (and other games) do NOT have these issues.


    Details about my set up:
    Windows 10, wired internet connection, using STEAM FFXIV client.


    Really hoping the dev/ tech team takes notice. I cannot even log in as of today.

    Despite the recent recovery to instances in Elemental (was hoping it would fix the issue as I play on Tonberry), I and many other friends are still experiencing this problem. I keep getting a dc symbol whenever I log in and am unable to play any content.

    I have checked my net, reset it, relogged… and it works fine for other games but just not FFXIV. As I play on ps5 I don’t know what else I can do. Please advise!

    Are you on Singtel by any chance? Been having a lot of issues with FFXIV the past week and seeing some packet losses/timeouts on some of the hops when running a traceroute to the NA servers (https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...a451d5a8daa66f). Like yourself, other games/streaming media/internet usage seems fine.

    Hi everyone. First-time poster here. I've been suffering this as well, been told by friends that it's due to multiple undersea cable faults in the APAC region. Vietnam is having a bad case of this, but I'm hearing it's across entirety of Singapore too. Other players in Asia, please chime in if you're facing problems!
