SE should consider changing a few things about TT cards:
    - make TT cards from trials be obtainable by trading in X tokens. Personally, I'd say 10 tokens is more than fair when you consider a mount costs 99
    - make TT cards from 24-man not be "greed-able" by those that already have the card

What is the point of these "Need" and "Greed" buttons? I get that what is "need" is subjective to the player. What I'd recommend is this:

    - you can't sell a card for MGP until you already have it added to your deck
    - you can't Need on a card that you already have (if you have a checkbox next to the card, it is greed only).

Eventually, we'd get to the point where everyone has the card already, and then it will truly be Greed - selling the card for MGP. Which is fine.

For those that insist they earn their 1500 MGP from selling these cards, keep in mind that it is chump change. You get something like 50k/week just for talking to the fashion report NPC. And running a mini-game or two nets you far more than 1500 MGP.

Greed is exactly what players should be rolling if they already have the card. "I don't need this, but I want it."

Need always wins over Greed, and for gear it isn't subjective at all. It just hasn't been adapted well to the cards, especially now that the game can run a check for whether you've acquired it and show that on the icon.

If everyone is hypothetically being considerate and not wanting to take a second card before others have their first, they can roll Greed and be safe that they'll only get it if others don't want it more. (Assuming the others understand that Need is the more powerful option, anyway.)

Sadly, our playerbase would never do that. The chances of all 24 players in a raid lotting Greed on something they already have is near-zero. As we both said, the capability is there to actually put this into practice. There was a time when players would self-police. However, that breed of player is dead. If the developers don't do it, it won't happen.

Yes, but my point is, that is why Greed is there and why there is still a point to the option being available. Some people will still voluntarily roll on that lesser tier and reduce the number of people in the running for it.

Personally I want a third tier below Greed so I can be at a lower level of priority than "want but can't Need".
