You're never happy.Every alliance raid, it's a race to see who can shout about "CS! WE HAVE CUTSCENES! WAIT FOR THE CUTSCENES!"
The last raid I queued into, someone started shouting about cutscenes within 5 seconds of zoning in.
The intense level of emotion a lot of people have around making sure they're the cutscene savior for anyone new to the raid is getting absurd.
It'd come off as more kind and helpful if vets and mentors asked if anyone wanted the raid to wait for cutscenes, or if anyone ever actually informed sprouts that they can view cutscenes outside of content in the inn rooms. But instead, it's a shouting match about cutscenes before you can even queue into a raid nowadays. Years ago on my server, no one ever said a word about cutscenes, people just ran the content and moved on.
At this point, I'd prefer to sit through unskippable cutscenes on alliance raids than witness the ridiculous way people behave around them.
Next time, you'll ask for : Bring back skippable cuscenes.

Still Useless... To have so many Commendations in 2024
We clearly still do. Doesnt mean we wont complain about it when it occurs. So it’s a waste of time not to fight it and let 1 person die than to wait for 1 person in a cutscene. Now I believe that’s a fine bit of mental gymnastics itself.
The thing here is there’s 2 beliefs and a middle ground.
1. You wait for everyone who’s watching cutscene, regardless.
2. They aren’t missing much, will run the content again. Etc etc
3. Don’t care either way
You only accept your belief as “the way”. However there are a fair amount of people who practice all 3. So it’s something you’ll have to accept and come to terms with. You play the hand you’re dealt. If people wait, ok, good for whoever benefits. If someone pulls, it’s not against the rules. No punishment will happen. However, attacking that person is against the rules, just as a cautionary. You just get what you get when you play with ransoms.
Enjoy your cutscenes =]
You don't die if you're watching a cutscene during a fight or take any damage. Once it's over you teleport inside where the battle is going on. Clearly doesn't affect ones watching them they just start the battle a little later than the others.
You're contorting things more than a chinese contortionist.
By your logic when someone early-pulls fuing hunt trains and the rest also attack cause they don't wanna miss credit, they're all in favour of early-pulling and all hate waiting.
Such nonsense.
All this why saying earlier how much people get cursed at by veterans for not waiting for the cutscene watchers, so which is it? Everybody's happy not to wait an they're just cursing for olympic sport?
If they attack the hunt, they are complacent in the pull. There’s also no such thing as a so-called “early pull” as no one is entitled to a hunt mark. It gets pulled when it gets pulled. You're contorting things more than a chinese contortionist.

Yes people do curse at others for pulling. Not necessarily by veterans as that’s a loose term. But by people who need to stand for something. Again, there is no “early pull”. Show me the rules that state there is a wait period and I will concede. Otherwise we all have to deal with whatever happens, happens
The level of intellectual dishonest. Yeesh. lol You have seen the dungeons a million times. You can wait. A new player is more important. It's that simple. You’d need to understand the difference between consecutive and concurrent first. As most people have responded in a manner to suggest there’s 23 minutes consecutive. The point is, 23 people are giving up their time for 1. The value of time of the 23 is greater than that of 1. So in my opinion, those who have the greater value are within their rights to keep their time if they choose. To give that time is a generosity. To expect it, is entitlement when what you have in exchange is lesser in value
If it's that simple than it wouldn't be an issue. The fact that you have a large split between who agree and those who don't mean it's not. This is like someone saying a class is easy when half of the participant is failing.
And the heck does that have anything to do with "intellectual dishonest" to begin with. Or did you just insert the phrase to make the comment sound grander and cooler?

With the way it is implemented in MSQ roulette? Hell no.
Maybe if they find a way to make it less annoying like everyone else said already, but no it's terrible. As much as I enjoy leveling jobs to max, unskippable cutscene roulette became more and more boring (which is why I stopped bothering with them after a point).
Rather than unskippable cutscenes I feel they simply could have that blue ring wall from the beginning of duties that prevents people from moving forward be implemented for final bosses in duties too until the first time new player has finished their CS. That way old players are not forced to visually watch it like MSQ roulette (can do something or chat while waiting) but new players can still enjoy. Also if everyone in the duty has already seen it then the game can just not implement that. A neat lil' flexible system based on party.
We at least know the game can track who has done something or not so doesn't seem too farfetched.
And the new player will see it a million times. As person should not be expected to wait every time. It is a courtesy. Not a requirementIf it's that simple than it wouldn't be an issue.
