    3. Please stop over reacting. You can play the game without a house. And when you HAVE a house, you'll quickly get bored of it. Do you even have the 10 million+ surplus gil to furnish it?
The point I am tryign to make is that Every player should have the option/ability to own a piece of land to put a house, not just a handful of players.

If they are adding every six months that's pretty decent, some of the people in my network told me it takes years for them to add more.

Also yes I do have enough to purchase and build, decorating may take some time though but that is the carrot on the stick for me to continue playing.

We did go a few years without new housing wards, and it was partly affected by COVID. But we've had three ward increases roughly 6 months or so apart now over the past year or so.

With the number of houses available now, we're actually almost there. Nearly everyone who wants a house could have a house. The problem is the uneven distribution of players. Overpopulated worlds are too full, while underpopulated worlds have entire wards virtually empty. People need to move to where there's more space. I know that's easier said than done if players already have ties to friends, statics and FC's, but usually those things aren't as serious relationships as players seem to think.

Thank you for the info, there may be hope yet lol. Maybe they will add houses to islands still who knows.

You def make a good point I just don't want to have to leave my FC just to have a house. DC travel with no retainers doesn't sounds like much fun either.

Unfortunately, the ward system and SE's need to balance out world populations don't leave players without houses much choice.

DC travel has turned out to be better than I expected when necessary. If your FC and your friends use Discord, that's an easy to keep in touch even when not on the same data center (or online at all for that matter). Leveling queues on Dynamis aren't bad. It's the level 90 content where you're generally going to run into problems if you don't have a group on Dynamis to run with. Since I'm not going to be crafting when I DC travel, lack of retainer access isn't a problem as long as I plan out my inventory before traveling.

And if your FC isn't going to treat you like a normal member of the FC just because you changed worlds to get a house, is it worth being in that FC in the first place? A FC is supposed to be a social circle, not a marriage commitment. Friends don't stop being friends just because someone moves to a neighboring town.

Certainly there are going to be exceptions on why someone stays to be with their FC (maybe they're running a venue so you need to be part of the FC for access to certain housing functions) but it shouldn't hold back the typical player if a house is something they really want.

"Every player should have the option/ability to own a piece of land" - every player DOES have the option/ability though.
    1. EVERY player is given the option to opt into aiming to own a piece of land in game
    2. EVERY player is given the ability to play the game, earn gil with the hopes of participating in the new lottery system to have their chance at a plot.
    - this is not limiting it to a "handful" of players as you are saying. literally...every...player...has the same chances. if people didnt work at making gil to have their chance at getting a plot (which, btw, is near impossible to fail at, seeing as how just going through all of msq alone will next you just under the amount needed for a medium) than that is entirely on the player. not the devs.
