Yeah, do whatever. My point was that people do things in a rush and then complain that there's nothing to do.This is rather a presumptuous stance to take. Who's to say their time wasn't equally chill but they simply finished faster? Speaking for myself, I reached level 12 in about eight days. The few times I did grind, I tossed on a podcast or Youtube video in the background and vegged out. There was nothing "smarter" about either of our approaches. We just have different priorities.
While there is people like this I think you are generalizing too much in an agressive way too... I've played a lot of mmos and xiv content, while I enjoy a lot, tends to be cut way too short unless you do insane stuff like getting relic weapons for all classes.
I'll never understand this stance. Just because you opt to take two months to complete something that only lasts a week with minimal grinding doesn't suddenly mean the content has two months of longevity. You simply didn't log in to actually do it for several weeks. It's the equivalent of my saying FFXV is a 100 hour game because I took 100 hours to finish it despite it's story and side content being objectively shorter.
To further emphasise this point, my pregnant and working friend managed to finish everything 6.1 had to offer in a few days outside of the new crafting gear. She didn't rush anything unless you considering doing the 24 man and MSQ on release a rush despite both taking less than four hours combined a rush. There simply isn't much to do until the subsequent patches drop. For those not interested in Omega, you're looking at roughly six weeks before anything with some form of longevity drops outside farming for the EX mount.

That's not what I'm saying, so of course you don't understand.I'll never understand this stance. It can't go in earlier because the main MSQ story takes up a lot of time and has to come first.I just want relic content to happen earlier, even if they put it back to being much grindy, it was in a better place as an alternate weapon to the raid like in ARR. It should really drop on .x5 with even patches or at the latest on the main odd patch, but .x5 on an odd is just worthless glam at that point...

You're saying that people rush content which is the actual reason they have nothing to do. I'm saying the content doesn't last long enough unless you purposely take forever to do it. What's else is there to understand here?
The current relic step is literally use Astronomy tomes and buy them. It doesn't take even the slightest amount of time to program that. Godbert has almost no real purpose whatsoever and they didn't need to tie the relic to Hildibrand for this initial step. Both ARR and HW had the relic beginning much earlier, which is the formula they've outright said they're basing EW's relic on.
It's ridiculous that the only grind oriented content releases over a year into the expansion's life cycle.

It doesn't take the slightest amount of time to "program" all those cutscenes in the story? lol. Tell me you skip without using the words. You truly have no shame and will say anything at this point.
Eh that has always been the case since Eureka though - in term of the first step takes very little effort to do. Also, I bet in this case it was intended so people who have never done Hildi on their main, or people playing alt can have time to catch up on the quest line just to start. I never do the Hildi passed the 2.0 line on my main, and my 3 alts never even touch it. So ... yeah, I kinda glad there isn't another absurd grind for the first step after I "grind" through 8 years worth of side quest multiple times.
The real grind doesn't come until the last 2 steps. Personally? I'll take it. Much prefer this than the 2.0 and 3.0 Fate train just to start on a new weapon.
