That why people don't like locked emotes, etc. In a game where you're supposed to define your character, why are we arbitrarily limited to a handful of options? Especially when the developers only have finite resources. Some people have suggested just making more exclusive poses, but I feel like that's such a waste. The developers go through the effort of making 50 poses, maybe 5 of which are perfect for your character, but you can't have them because reasons and instead get 5 poses that mean absolutely nothing to you. Just give us all 50 and let us choose what's best.

It's funny how on point this is. This is the crux of the entire thread. That people vary on an individual basis, yet in game this sometimes isn't captured because of locked content.

Video games as a whole are unnecessary in the first place. This isn't about need as much as it is wanting a better game. I feel like if players are being given the choice to create their characters, we shouldn't have to deal with arbitrary limits. Male and female range of motion is nearly identical. It makes gendered emotes just seem weird.
Because the developers intend each race/gender to be portrayed as a certain way and that's the main draw for people pick those races/genders. A small outlier of people wanting their character to go against those norms isn't justification enough to open up all emotes to everyone.

I'm not sure who you're trying to refer to. None of the fae folk were "literally voidsent" (Titania was a Lightwarden, which is literally the opposite of a voidsent) and they're not suddenly defining themselves as anything. They simply are genderless by nature.

You have to read the post. Two different points. The part you snipped refers to Zero, and has nothing to do with the Fae.

And yes, the Fae are genderless. What does nonbinary have to do with it? Nothing. The post I quoted inserted that themselves for the sake of doing so.

Okay, I misread that. But their point isn't that Zero is nonbinary, their point is that she's female and still "allowed" to use male poses because they suit her personality better.

Potatoes don't count. We all know they're genderless.

Jokes aside, that's far from manspreading.

and idk man, depending on the skirts you will 100000% get a pantyshot in, even as a lala. It doesn't matter if it's truly manspreading or not, my point is that the sits are hardly gendered to begin with, so why are they genderlocked? They are unlocking the gender for the outfits, you might as well do it for the idles and sits.

is this masculine or feminine? Manspreading? Idk I guess a woman bending her knees whilst her arms are in the front is pretty disgusting and unfeminine-like..
Seein as those characters are both male I guess that answers your question for you.

You do realize the forums makes up a tiny percentage of the player base right?

I don't believe so. If it wasn't the point, why was it brought up in the first place? To attack someone else and likely put in their opinion at the same time. It really is that simple.

I personally couldn't care less what they do with poses. Though if someone would have asked why Zero has these unique poses, it usually means one of two things. They're testing new rigging, or they are using test animations on a character who is going to die very quickly, so may as well use it while they can and get opinions at the same time.

I couldn't care less what SE does since the answer is to just hit up and enter, but if you cycle through poses, you can't just magically ignore it. Well, you could but we don't talk about that. And if you do magically ignore it, you will get blasted by people who wanted it anyway. It's a no win scenario that the only way to win is to not even pretend to humor the idea.

Even the game in its current state is not that strict. Male Elezen, Au Ra and Miqo'te all have model-specific sitting poses with legs crossed tight, one knee hooked over the other leg. Male Viera (not exactly an argument for keeping genders strictly defined) have a demure hands-folded-in-lap pose alongside a more masculine one. Im not sure if anyone uses the figure-4 pose, at least out of the characters I've tested.

    *Revisits thread*

    Alright, it got even dumber!

I wish people would be honest that's not about what they do have, nor even what they don't have - it's what they can't have, because don't implies they could. It's certainly not about options - you don't go 19 pages deep angerly accusing others of misogyny, argue fae folk pronouns, and social constructs because you think there's a lack options that show you're doing not a single gd thing.
