Ungendered sit poses, please?

What don't you understand of racial uniqueness is not the same as arbitrarily gendered stuff. It's not unique, it's a restriction that forces people by gender to play a specific role. Again: many articles of clothing used to be locked by gender. They acknowledged that this was wrong and are fixing it. The devs have acknowledged that restrictions by gender is not the way to move forward, so that should also apply to these genderlocked animations. Because how someone sits should not be gendered.

Nowhere have they said they were wrong for doing any of that to my knowledge. That's how YOU feel. Let's not project onto others. If they really felt it was wrong they'd never release gendered anything. They've altered things because they've been requested to as they've said. Because of how certain groups are in the community they're trying not to offend if anything as any smart company would.

Also where are you being forced? If you want male emotes/sits play a male. You have that choice. Always have, always will. There is no force. Put your feeling down for just a second and look at some facts dude...yikes. What's next? Will we need an "other" gender in the game for folks who feel "forced" to pick between male or female currently? Surely you see what's wrong with that logic?

It's not "wrong" to have gender specific clothing, animations or poses and it's not something that needs "fixing" because it's not broken.

I get where you are coming from, but should a sitting position really be unique to specific humanoid races?

Edit: I am all for racial specific content, but I fall more in the camp of clothing, hairstyles, stuff of that nature. Idk a sitting position just seems like a weird thing to keep locked behind racial or gender.

Well as I said previously, guys sit that way because we have to, not because we think it's "cool". In that way it is unique to us because women really have no reason to sit that way other than they just want to for some reason.

This isn't me saying they shouldn't, unless they're wearing a skirt or something, it's just weird they feel the "need" to.

Idk maybe I am missing the point, but I am still lost what exactly is the problem with having sitting positions being available to everyone? I am a guy and I often cross my legs, I just find it more comfortable. I would not say we "need" to but I can see why some may find it more comfortable. Maybe a female may find it more comfortable. Just seems like an odd stance. Hard to explain why

It really depends on how you cross your legs. If you do knee over knee that is uncomfortable, at least to me. If it's ankle over knee then there's still the space for the danglies to not get crushed.

That is fair, though what I am trying to get at, what exactly is the problem with just letting females sit that way and allow men to sit that way ingame? If even the comfort level varies from person to person irl. Should comfort be unique?

I mean, if comfort varies from person to person then that level of comfort is unique to that person, no?

As for my take on the whole thing: I feel like it's unecessary to have every thing needing to be distributed to every race/gender/role/what have you, but if they did it wholey wouldn't bother me.

I agree that is also my point, the stance itself is not inherently unique, the comfort level or feeling it provides is what is an unique experience to each person. So making it accessible to everyone does not detract from the unique nature of the position that is inherent to you. Which is why this entire conversation was confusing for me, since it seems that is an agreed upon stance.

It's more to do with why some feel they "need" to have that pose for female characters. That it's somehow "unfair" that males get it and females don't. While it is arbitrary it's still a decision the developers made for their own reasons. Arguing that it's "wrong" or needs "fixing" is wholey an emotional stance.

Aren't most requests made of the devs rooted in some desire of need or want? Not saying one has to be in favor of it, but making request out of a desire or need is pretty much how many requests come to light. I have not followed 100% but I did not see much of being it is unfair more so that they would like it to be added or changed.

Oh yeah I agree it was done for a reason, and only they know the reason. That said, I do not think it started off as it is wrong or needs fixing, but may have turned into that as it has gone on. Idk this seems like any other request made on the forums, yet like the whole hide glamour thing it seems like it has become a personal crusade for some to rally against it.
