Housing Roulette was an absolute trash idea.

You work hard for something for years and dream about getting it just for an rng system just to tell you "You not lucky this time sorry better luck next time" You would be upset and depressed also. As I said this housing system ISNT better than placards. They both trash systems but one makes feelbad bc its completely up to a compute to pick your number.

Still beats having to be online at all times spamming placard signs while I could actually play the game. Or have to schedule my free time to be able to rush onto the servers the moment they are online again - If you are not stuck in a queue or SE has to delay (or even complete early) the server maintenance, throwing your plan out of the window.

Instead they got multiple days time to pick a plot they like to have and enter the lottery with just a few clicks. And then go back enjoying the game.
If they win, nice. If not, better luck next time. All relaxed and no ridiculous rushing.

No? 30 wards is thousands of houses.

The housing shortage is NOT as drastic as people make it out to be, it's just that any shortage at all feels unfair, because there end up being losers.

As I stated in my previous post, there have been many occasions where wards have been empty, and plots have not been taken up. the supply has beaten out the demand before.

What would be the point in adding 100 new wards if 60 of them ended up being 90% empty?

Listen ass I'm just venting in an online forum. I'm allowed to vent so go f off. Most ppl don't like this system and want a better one. I also feel that way. It's still an unfair system that heavily relays on luck and rng to get anything. Some of yall act like this system is the best system when its not. It's just as bad as the placard. Replacing a bad system with another bad system isnt a great way fixing an issue that the game has had for a long time. So stop sucking up the devs and SQ and demand change.

It's objectively and empirically better than the old system.
That doesn't mean it's perfect, it doesn't mean there aren't still massive issues with the housing system, but it is objectively better than it used to be.

Its not and for some of us who want to move to a better area or upgrade to a bigger house or even downgrade to just for a better location there isnt a next time till they add more wards. I have a large in the goblet that I cant stand, I been there since SB. I been saving for years to move to ishgrad with no luck. Im even going to downgrade to med if I see one bc I hate the goblet so damn much.

We can add as many wards as we want. That's still 30 more wards that will fill up in an instant because of just how much demand there is for it.

I blame the devs' insistence on wards and a sense of community within housing districts like they were "neighbourhoods". Sorry Yoshida, but that's just not going to happen. It rarely ever happens; most people just stick to their house and don't socialize. My FC's ward is full. And it was full since it was meant to be an FC-only ward. You want to know how many people I see around the place? NONE. The ward is always bleeding empty! And whenever I happen to somehow catch one person out there, there's no interaction. Nothing. And that's how it's always been on Zodiark since 2016. Rarely ever do you actually interact, and at most it's just "hi" and move on with your business.

Because these wards force a limit on how many houses are available. And while I know there are detriments to instanced housing, the way this is made just breeds salt.

Venting is one thing. Another thing is being caustic. Which is exactly what you're doing. They mentioned you were simply complaining about life being unfair, yes? Well, you're proving them right.

And as someone who has been around in the old system, you do not want it back at all. Because you think waiting hours to see whether you won an RNG raffle is bad? Try "first come first serve" for hours on end with no discernible time limit against a horde of people botting.

This system isn't perfect, no. But unless you can come up with better ideas than the absolute proven delusion that "the old one was better", you aren't contributing whatsoever to fixing the problem with it.
