You generate 120 Oath Gauge from Auto Attacks. If combo finishers gave 10 oath and spells gave oath at (1000 mp = 10 oath), you'd get 220 oath together. Goring Blade and Atonement are fillers for now so they can't give oath gauge yet unless they become combo finishers. You'd get all the ogcd heals you want, extra mitigation without bloat, an oath gauge that feels useful, and the ability to restore oath gauge with Clemency during downtime when you can't target enemies. You become a defensive powerhouse with enhanced utility.
