    The direction of this game needs to change asap and drastically.

    I mean why even bother placing mobs in between boss fights? who enjoy killing trash mobs that gives no money, no items, no gil basically living sponges and reused assets once again.

    Since SB it feels we get the same content every 3-4 months with different skins and that's all.

    Today I finished Euproshyne as first time player and only died 1 time.

    Just regular trash mobs is definitely pretty lame. However, mini bosses with their own mechanics are definitely welcome in my book. You could actually throw the regular trash mobs along with them so their telegraphs give dodging the mini bosses mechanics a little more thought process.

    The entire raid actually hurt my eyes and left me with a headache. That actually had been a trend through most of this expansion for me, actually. Something about the way the aoe markers and the color palettes clash has been a problem for me. I would rather AOE markers turn everything within them a grayscale or something...at least a setting that lets us tune them better. I struggled through this raid because I couldn't work out the mechanics tells with all the glitz.

    * Raises hand* I enjoy killing/healing large trash mobs more than fighting bosses. I find more things go wrong and the mobs are more engaging. I would love a dungeon packed with nothing but trash without bosses.

    I was able to beat the raid before breakfast when the patch dropped and i'm the smoothest brain around here. The only real tricky part was the Althyk/Nymeia fight with the tether mechanic but they died so fast we only saw it twice. The only real part I remember from the fight was Nophica mechanic with the AoEs you have to stand in and Halone's ice slash mechanic where you have to remember the order of the slashes. The worst we suffered was a party nearly wiping from the time tether mechanic but the rest was pretty easy to manage. I do agree that new mechanics have to be intuitive to a degree but I wouldn't mind an Ozma/ThunderGod Cid every once in a while.

    Mechanically there wasn't anything hard in the Ivalice raids, the only difficulty was from dps checks.(did all 3 Ivalice raids day 1 when they were released) I think the bigger problem is just that the ilevel requirement is so low so everything is a push over. The EX has the same problem where it's like, 610 ilevel but even more casual players will likely have 620 at this point. Like does the enrage even exist in the new EX?! I have 100 totems and never saw it.

    True... just cleared the ex... before the clear we hit enrage at 1% once... after like 10 deaths and me, both heals and shortly after teh other ranged dying on the 3 flower spread mechanic ... like, other ex trials would wipe you with 30% lol


    Its sad, i miss the fun times we had on mhach, dun scaith or Cid...

    Ivalice was just giant damage sponges of bosses without any more complexity than EW's raids. EW's are just tuned better to be more enjoyable rather than mindlessly grinding at same pattern forever because boss has way too much HP.

    Game needs difficult 24man content that is accessible from duty finder and not by pregrouping like for Baldesion Arsenal or Delubrum. A weekly 24 raid lightsavage/extreme/unreal type of thing would be nice, maybe even something that saves your progress up to a certain boss like WoW does. So you don't have to redo it with a different group.
