I don't need or want to because I have an opinion and I stated it. Not trying to speak for anyone other than myself. "I think" was a pretty good indication of this.

Do I get ultimate weapons with grinding wipes? That was his solution now to PvP.
And why should the same rules apply to PvP as they do to PvE? They are different types of game modes. Playing against other humans never gets easier with time, why should it devalue? And the reason I said it is that I just see that they killed the whole vet community with this new mode, which isnt really something a PvP mode should strife for or?
Why not ask the PvP veterans how they feel about it, instead of trying to guess what they think is fair? I noticed 1 in this thread besides me, the rest are mostly just people who dont like PvP or missed the season.
PvP players themselves asked for better reward structure and giving players outside of top100 something more, so it doesnt feel so bad getting place 101. Now you are mad at the top100 players for getting items for which some tried really hard for because they were new to PvP, instead of being mad at SE for not delivering in all those years something better than wolfcollars. For not changing the top100 rewards to be accountwide and letting 10 alts of 1single player get items.
PvP Ranked got already easier after 3 datacenter splits, some seasons you got the Ranked Top100 with Gold Tier already, which is doable on a single day. Still people made threads that they have a job and cant play enough PvP to get top100 lmao. Which are just lies. The same way EU barely had any cheaters or wintraders overall compared to US, 95% were legit players at least on EU leaderboard.
Still so many point fingers at the evil PvP players who "just cheated and traded their way to top100" instead of pointing to devs to change the FOMO structure. You got a new Series structure now, and it is FOMO again because the rewards are only there for 2-3 seasons?! lol. Why give them an exit to re-use old items when they could be building on top of it, something better. The glamour of the Series rewards are pretty much compareable to the Hellhound/Shadowstalker Set, I say they are even better (because the Ranked Sets clip a lot).
Some peope here just don't know what is possible, e.g. there used to be so many frontline bots in the past for leveling reason (stormblood era), if that would be the way to get the rarest PvP glams, it would be the most meme way to end it. And to compare a season now with season 1-4 would be laughable too... Some people couldnt even fit 30-40 skills on their hotbar for PvP nowadays, which was the min. amount back then.
They just should have changed it way earlier imo.
I guess you missed where I said they should be obtainable through Season wins, even in ranked only. But you do you. The number of "PvP vets" only got smaller because of how toxic that group was, not because the rewards went away. I've never had someone tell me I shouldn't ever heal again in savage. But I've seen it in PvP lol

I joined the game during the end of Season 20 of the Feast, I was a sprout back then, and pretty much started to actually play the game with Endwalker release, and started PvP with the new system. I mainly play PvP, and rarely touch PvE.
As much as I think the Feast rewards were cool, I think they should remain exclusive to the players who worked hard for them.
My problem with SE is that they stopped giving rewards to the top 100. I'd love to obtain better rewards than what the Feast had offered, new top 100 mounts and glams for CC.
It is also sad that most of the posts I've read here are of people just wanting the Feast rewards and then leave.. it's like a sprout wanting DSR weapons after completing ARR MSQ.
We should try to find a PvP system that can reward both the veterans and casuals, how about that? But I guess few people here do care about PvP and its players.
I wonder if the JP side of playerbase is satisfied with the current lack of rewards, it seems they are the driving force for most major decisions.
Hopefully if they ever re-instate the top 100 seasonal rewards they are given retroactively for the people that put in effort during the seasons up till now. I'd imagine also having title or something for getting multiple high finishes would be nice.
As for the less competitive side, they really need to expand the Trophy Crystal stuff, it's overflowing from the Series stuff and even semi actively playing PvP will have you getting everything you could want from the current store within a Season.

Exclusive rewards are an anathema to this game for some reason.I joined the game during the end of Season 20 of the Feast, I was a sprout back then, and pretty much started to actually play the game with Endwalker release, and started PvP with the new system. I mainly play PvP, and rarely touch PvE.

It's apparently okay to have exclusive rewards, just make them not any form of glamour or literally anything that people would like to have.
So titles basically, because who cares about these aside from Legend titles or Necromancer. Good incentive. /s

I've never really cared for time-exclusive items, since it's just a case of "did you play during this time period or no?" and doesn't really say much more than that. Not saying I think the Shadowstalker set should be put onto a vendor or whatever, but I feel like for those kinds of top 100 rewards, just let people who get top 100 in any season henceforth choose what top 100 reward they would want to have.
Easier/harder then, now, etc... doesn't really matter. If someone's dedicated enough to grind for it now, they were more than fine to get it back then if they had that same motivation. Should still retain the achievement to get the item, I just don't feel like getting top 100 in one slice of time or another is a big enough deal for people who, say, top 100 this season, or next, to be unable to choose to get that specific item if it's what they'd really like.

On top of that, pvp games have historically done very well with little to no reward structure. If pvp is dead, it's not for a lack of rewards.
Casual CC is alive and well with next to no rewards, it's the other modes that struggle. Frontline would be dead like Rival Wings without the Roulette. Ranked CC has next to no rewards so everyone defaults to Casual, which has basically no balance as it pools fresh players with top 100.

It's because it feels terrible to start a game, see somethng you really like, and then hear that it's impossible to get and you should have played earlier. It'd be like if I made a character and saw someone with an UWU weapon, asked how I could get one, and they mentioned that only people who cleared in the first month of UWU's release got them and they were forever unobtainable.
It would feel awful and I'd obviously ask for it to be reintroduced so I could get a shot of earning it legit. I don't really care much about PvP or PvP rewards but I can sympathize with people who really want to be able to earn something but just hear they can't get it.
