Why is the PvP Shadowstalker set unavailable permanently?

Exactly. It's antithetical to what the developers tell us to do. If you don't feel like playing, don't btw we are going to release this awesome fomo armor, and you will have to deal with the fact that you can never get it! I did miss this armor. I'm sorry that when it came out, my guild imploded, and I was at my lowest, so playing ffxiv was the last thing I wanted to do. God forbid. I'm here now. Why can't I earn it now? "Why did I have the bowl, Bart? Why did I have the bowl?" Sorry, I had to make that Simpsons reference to them lying to our face.

Already said I don't like permanent FOMO, and still feel that way but adding in context- I have one of the exclusive pvp armors... some long release delay seems fine if it is going to be super special but still have no qualms with it coming back and do actually find the concept of "never coming back" more troublesome.

Necro bumping thread. Fomo is terrible game design. I'd play your god-awful pvp and unlock this if it wasn't unobtainable. Be better than Blizzard.

As someone with a t100 reward on my main I actually support making them obtainable again. But IMO it should still only be tied to some kind of high-end achievement. Something like being able to buy one previous t100 reward if you hit t100 in a season.

I wouldn't suffer through CC to get any of the rewards though truth be told. It's gotten much worse than Feast competitively.

-add a new token bought with wolfmarks, 10000 marks per token, call it 'mark of the ravenous wolf' or something
-make these old feast rewards cost X 'marks of the ravenous wolf', eg the mounts cost 50 each

boom now the old rewards are accessible. Sure, they cost 500k marks each, but that's not the point, they're accessible and that's what matters, right?

Maybe when Square decides to do something about the rampant botting and use of 3rd party tools then we can talk. Until then I advise anyone to just stay away from PVP. The rewards are not worth the toxicity you will experience. It's also clear they have no interest in making the rewards accessible to anyone else.
