    For example Ifrit drops "Ifrits Tear".. you go with this "tear" to the quest npc, where you can chose for which class you wish to have that weapon. White Mage Staff, Warrior axe?

    because the chance is really really rare to get the weapon for my main class which i prefer.

    We beat Ifrit in any combination of Classes/Jobs as long as there is 1 Tank and a Healer among it...

    The Lag thing due to server merge is no excuse as well...the lag on our server became way more as well, but just yesterday some LS members killed Ifrit over and over w/o any issue...

    It all comes down to skill...people who don't know what they are doing, won't get it done, simple thing...especially a big problem with PUGs...just did an AV Speedrun with LS members yesterday (w/o even trying) with members who haven't even beaten the instance yet, still we got it done, although it wasn't even our intention...

    I know what I'm doing on that fight and lag (character position update) kicks my ass everytime.

    I suppose you are one of those people that likes animation lock because it separates the people who are paying attention and who are not hmm.

    I'll be so F'ing glad when we move to the new servers at least we can combat the boss and not the servers.

    It all comes down to skill...people who don't know what they are doing, won't get it done, simple thing...especially a big problem with PUGs...just did an AV Speedrun with LS members yesterday (w/o even trying) with members who haven't even beaten the instance yet, still we got it done, although it wasn't even our intention...
    Sound like a case of the few carrying the rest if you ask me, which you can do in any MMO.

    AV/CC/DH don't have the same issues with server lag as Ifrit, they are tougher IMO but once you know the fight not much can go wrong.

    ドロップ率を調整するのではなく、NPC“ロウェナ”で交換する際の交換レートを、
    パッチ1.22にて調整することで対応を行う予定です。
    Although we have commented on this issue before, in the end we have decided to not alter the drop rate, but instead alter the exchange rate of the NPC "Rowena" in patch 1.22.

    焔神のトーテム像 10個 → 5個に変更
    Totems: 10 → 5
    クポの実のお守り 20個 → 10個に変更
    Nuts: 20 → 10


    これは、毎回必ず同じパーティメンバーで挑むわけではないことから、
    この仕様にするよりも、交換レート側を調整した方が、
    より多くの人が武器を入手できる可能性が高くなると判断したためです。
    Because you wouldn't be fighting the battles with the same party members every time, we have decided that by rather than altering the drop rates, by altering the exchange rate people will have a better chance at getting the weapons they want.

    I was refering to Tonkras comment:

    well i can speak from myself.. that i have seen no one coming out of ifrit since two days alive.. maybe they didnt had that perfect group setup..
    He was totally exaggerating the case and this can't be just blamed on Server Lag.

    BTW: I'm not a friend of animation lock as well, but we have to deal with it til 2.0 (if their "new" servers" will actually keep up to their promises...), but no one coming out alive of Ifrit for 2 days? That is to blame on severe lack of skill...not on your group setup or animation lock...which is why I said we beat him with any setup...which is the case and it is for most organized LSs. You don't have to stack BRD/BLM for Ifrit or Moogle, we beat them both with heavy Meele setups or just balanced setups as well.

    I agree, w/o animation lock and shit, more people would be able to defeat him or some people could avoid a wipe due to that, but it's doable with the animation lock and since there is nothing we can change about it...suck it up.

    I know you weren't talking to me directly but I felt i should respond no less as that stupid character update thing gets me nailed by eruptions all the time. (it's part the reason I couldn't care less about Ifrit, that and the poor chances of walking away with anything)

    The sad part is that most of the PUGs I join now won't even allow BLM because they want THM so they can raise each other, this just stinks of noob to me, its kind of like going in expecting to die.

    That's true but its like they aren't thinking it through, if you make them 100% drops you just have to make them untradable as well and the problem is solved.

    i just say... they can leave the drop rate like it is now (im not talking about changing drop rate!..).. just change weapon drops into one [key item] which i can exchange at the Quest-NPC (who crafts a weapon with that key item).

    im not talking about totems or what the heck ever.
    the only difference is... now you can receive a weapon drop from a class you never wanted to have... and with a key item to exchange at quest npc you can chose the weapon. which i think is more enjoyable for all who have completed many runs.

    im not doing these runs to finally get a warrior weapon.. because i never play warrior/mauradeur....

    Why, but that means people will have to fight Ifrit less for the item they want! Think of all the other people who got items the hard way! If we got it the hard way, then so should you!

    I'm not being serious, but I'm sure there are many who agree with the above statement.

    but there are also many many people who gave up after 30 runs or so... never even got a weapon drop... and especially not for their main class!


    and this cant be... i cant stand people saying "i did it the hard way (and had many luck!!) so other people shouldnt get it easier"...how cocky is that? yeah, wow you had luck, good for you. it isnt even easier... i mean a weapon even doesnt drop that often... and if one drops you also mustnt have the luck to get that weapon... in my case the key item... and you dont play just one class often, you play about 2-4 classes more often..

    i think its more modern and comfortable doint it that way... and i mean there will be more primaes in near future.. doing more than 30-60 runs for each primae to get my conjurer weapon? aussum. im not doing these runs for a warrior, ranger or puglist weapon, seriously.. its just frustrating und useless then.

    honestly im doing ifrit runs etc. just for fun.. im not insisting to ever get a conjurer weapon... for that the chance is too less. too many factors (8 party people, less drop rate, randomly class weapon drop)


    and most important again: " i dont need a warrior weapon!" just wanted to say that

    cant u trade the totems/nuts for any weapon you want now for any class? whats the difference? i dont get this post whatsoever
