What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

Truth. Only two player. Player who is think game only okay and player who think game suck and guild and forum paladin of the Yoshi island. If player say game suck can not fight this. Is opinion is feedback in making game correct course. If want to fight must show the counter fist. Must show is not opinion of chara poster it. But can not do this because they not know us in the real life. Saying the so what or the who asked or the nice blog lmao is not the counter fist. Is just the bad acter.

Fight between guild and forum paladin it like the Strange medicineman and the God King Domamu. Can keep lose again and again but can not defeat. It make this tread they prison. Good think Cage to Cage. You join the inner circle when guild make attak. You get the revenge on writer for wrong predict on alien bar.

You do not understand Georgi. Necro is part of game is the title give to the strong player who clear the dead kingdom without the other. Was put in the game by the Matsuo when make famous dark fantasy movie the Game of the Throne. Is how hero chara is reborn when die. Some time ago, people used to do that. Then, they were just told they were wrong/stupid/fanboys. So yeah, I stopped doing that, and others did as well. I don't ever recall anyone acting that way, but I certainly see people throwing around buzzwords like "Ascian apologists" and "Zodiark cultists" to describe anyone who dares to question Venat's morality out of some faulty generalization that you whole-heartedly support the other faction if you think she wasn't completely in the right.

These echo chambers form because criticism is largely not tolerated outside of these spaces...or even within them as certain individuals have demonstrated.

One could even argue that this turned XIV from a more grounded fantasy universe into a generic shounen anime, where we don't manage to defeat the enemy with training, experience, preparation and cooperation, instead we get more powerful just because we believe.

I feel like they may have chosen to deal with the Endsinger the way they did because while dynamis made her dangerous, it also gave her a weakness to exploit that isn't going to work on anything else closer to home.

Regardless, I am morbidly curious how they're going to make future villains feel believably threatening.

We agree with the post. It is wrong to say Ascian must apologize. Why is not forum paladin apologize.

Player chara must understand the fiction it is not real. Is not bad thing to support the fiction badman. If person watch the Indiana Joe movie and they cheer badman Prussia army does that make they rightside wing duckstepping supporter. No it does not. If Solus King army wanting to make the musterd race forum paladin call it the genocide support and the no consent support. Is not the fair compare.

That will be very interesting to see. Will we go back from "universe destroying entity" to "dude with gun, dude with sword and big robot"? And if so, then how do they plan to do that without making it look like a complete joke?

They would either need to be able to body hop and be able to steal our body (like Zenos did), or they'd have to be such a skilled manipulator to where they're constantly pulling Xanatos Gambits.

You may not recall it, but I doubt you've read the 743 pages, nor that you remember everything that happened in what you read. I know of that because those were the 10 pages I argued in, somewhere between page 1XX and page 3XX, but it's buried deep, and it's probably not that interesting to read either.


Regarding future vilains : I don't think you have to write even more powerful/hyper manipulative BBEG around to have a decent story, even after what we've been through. You just need to have well-written side characters, and villains that impact them. The fact that the WoL may be defeated by them may sound absurd to you, because "they killed the endsinger", but, first, Gaius/Estinien are still supposedly WoL-tier powerful, and they're mere humans, second, we haven't explored half of the regions we currently have, and therefore have met half of the possible characters, let alone the other continents (New World/Meracydia/Roegadyn Isles/Whatever they decide to throw in), third, and I know that one won't be agreed upon so much around here, even IF the WoL was truly that more powerful : MSQ is only an excuse to tell a story.

I don't care if the all-powerful azure dragoon, endsinger-vanquisher, ascian-hunter are defeated by "a dude with a sword", because that dude with a sword may have an interesting story to tell me about whatever the writers want to talk about. Being consistent is always better than not, of course, but if they chose to not go that way (they could have let us exit the Varus fight with diminished abilities, because of whatever trauma or whatnot), that's sad, but I think we've all got more important things to do than nitpicking at a story for being inconsistent on something as bullshit as power level.

I guess we do have Thordan, Yotsuyu, and Vauthry as examples of villains who weren't really shown to be much more then a mild inconvenience to us when push came to shove, but they nonetheless were memorable for the impact that they had on the nations they ruled over.

I'm not really sure where they're gonna go with Golbez, but hopefully he manages to be memorable for reasons outside of being a walking FFIV reference.

IMO the issue here is also that we basicly explored a big chunk of the world and never heard from any ''strong guys''. so unless we get tons of dimension travelling villain I don't see how they can pull a serious oponent. It an issues most MMO have when time go on. by escalading and finishing a story arc, you lock yourself in a hard place where you need to make a villain who's a serious foe, yet have a reason to be this strong and absent from past events.

As entertaining as the poster above me is, my suggestion to anyone on this thread who wants to actually have a good faith discussion is to block Graeham, it is obvious by the way he writes he is not arguing in good faith. I am going to.,

He is pretty funny actually. And all he writes are exaggerated versions of actual arguments made by the residents in this thread. Ofc, that is why you would block him because reading his posts show just how ridiculous this thread has been, and we can't have that.
