I just wish it was easier to make friends around my age ingame. I don't really find it creepy or weird to online date, its kinda cute even, but not only it isn't my thing but I also don't understand how people manage to do it.
It just requires two people to be open and honest with each other and be on the same page. There are a lot of factors and can be quite difficult but when it works...it seems to work really well.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.

My FC on Goblin mainly comprises of 30 YO+ members if that helps anything.
Ah, yeah, I don't know what else to say in regard to that. I guess, as long as you're putting yourself out into the world and you know what you are looking for it's only a matter of time before you find what you're looking for.
I think a big portion of MMORPGs' audiences are on the older side since they grew up during the height of the genre's popularity and cultural significance, thus having an easier time getting into other MMORPGs. The same could be said about Final Fantasy in general, which had its golden age in the 90s/early 2000s. Most people you will find actively playing the game day in day out and forming FCs would probably be slightly older than what you'd find in other online multiplayer games outside of the MMORPG genre, but this is just a hunch.
Can't say that these days there is much difference between people in their 20s and 30s though, but I can understand wanting to hang with younger people/people closer to your own age.
You are fairly spot on with your hunch. The data for the most part indicates that as well. At least the mean of players in MMO's are in the late 20's early 30's range.I think a big portion of MMORPGs' audiences are on the older side since they grew up during the height of the genre's popularity and cultural significance, thus having an easier time getting into other MMORPGs. I met my spouse online through an AIM RP group and we've been together for 18 years and married 13. It ain't easy, but it can work.
