VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

I think they shouldn’t have caved to the pressure of bringing bunny boys so soon, especially before fem Hrothgar. I thought it would have been natural to bring them both together given that fem Viera came with male Hrothgar.

I, like many Viera here, would have no problem to have us on pause for a bit until they catch up to Hrothgar being equal to us and then they can catch up to both races being equal to all the others.

I know part of the reason they give Viera more attention than Hrothgar is because there are more players playing Viera vs Hrothgar but yet we all pay the same subscription price and I find it very unprofessional on their part to keep releasing things half finished.

This is how I feel, though I wouldn't say we NEED to be catered to as well as you guys. Like, let's be realistic here. Y'all are more popular than us. And while it unfortunately means we won't have the priority, as long as we're "serviceable", they can honestly go for whatever on Viera first. That I don't mind. Whatsoever.

What it'd be nice would be if once they turned their attention to Hrothgar they didn't treat it as the leftover project. We're already behind and unpopular, why are they just doubling down and making us look worse and worse? Because we're not serviceable, and thinking the weird hairstyles and removal of ears was fine doesn't help. To a race who generally has been rather quiet.

I personally do prefer if they hadn't caved to pressure and acknowledged the work that needed to be done to facilitate Male Vieras and Female Hrothgar in the future if they chose to implement them. Because I feel like the players who changed to MV and will change to FH deserve better than the same bullshit that's been fed everyone else for years now.

And just to reiterate: I don't shame people for wanting or feeling happy about Male Viera. Please, be happy, because people made sure that they'd be implemented when originally they weren't even planned. Now don't treat it like it was a given or gloss over the issues, because it sure as balls isn't a given, and there is so much bull around the topic to make Square look like a farm.

It's why a big topic in the Femgar thread now is debating and posting which sort of body we want to see in the game. Primarily those who plan on changing to FemGar. Because it's important for THOSE people to feel satisfied, rather than going for whatever idea comes out of their arse without thought* and then pikachu-facing and saying "wow, we didn't expect people's reactions".

*Creative freedom is a thing and the devs are the ones in charge of the game. They have this power and the liberty to express themselves. That shouldn't be denied. However, it's still a product, and at the end of the day, your idea still needs to resonate with your clients. And it's clear SE pays attention to it, since they said "wow, we didn't expect that reaction" on Hrothgar hairstyles.

That’s where they fail once again. Maybe there would be way more Hrothgars around IF they were given the proper attention to begin with. I honestly don’t even know where they take the feedback from anymore given they became so clueless about what most people actually want.

There have been plenty of people, both here on the forums and in game, who have admitted to either swapping off hrothgar because of dissatisfaction with the race's stupid restrictions, or saying they want to play hrothgar but don't because of how the race is handled. So we know there'd be more players if the race was actually, you know, serviceable.

And I suspect a lot of the feedback Square takes note of is on those famous cesspools of idiocy, twitter and reddit.

But the drawing made by one of SE's artists is literally more perfect than I could have ever hoped. If they go with this I will explode with happiness!
