How the hell do people drink Fantasia?

Which is why I swear those who draw or mod their characters with absurdly huge breast don't understand how much back pain amongst other things mammary glands that huge bring or can bring. If that's a look that you like then please at least show them wearing proper shape wear that'll give them enough support and to one's back. Also do some research there some styles that do a good job of making it look like there's a whole lot more there than there is. For you know if you want it to look like they got a lot of cleavage.

I've been very sparce with my use of Fantasias throughout my time with my main.

My first one was to be a Miqo'te, as Hyur was just not clicking with me, but that was like only a couple weeks after I started playing.
I then used another one when Heavensward came out and I remained an Au Ra for almost seven years. At the time, the race spoke to me and I didn't feel like changing into anything else.
My third and latest Fantasia was right before Endwalker launched. Both my sister and I figured the small schoolgirl aesthetic of the Au Ra wasn't clicking with us as much anymore, and we both swapped to Viera.
I haven't felt a need to use another Fantasia since.

Any time I make a character for any RPG I end up making them idealized versions of what I'd like to be, so I grow attached and I'm just not one for the Fantasia spam, but that's just me.

Started as a Lala, *loved* her but couldn't stand the way 90% of the clothes fit. Used my free fantasia to become Hyur. Probably would have just stayed with that, but I commented to a friend that if I had another I'd totally go FemRoe and he offered to pay for it if I was serious. Can't picture my WoL any other way now, would only ever maaaaaybe adjust her skintone a little (but not willing to spend real $ to do it). I've gotten over my hate of the clothes on Lalas with my alt, lol

I used my free fantasia to change my deity because it turned out the one I chose originally didn't fit my character.

I can't even change my hair without thinking "Damn I looked better before this" lol. I think I just got lucky that what I made at the start was something that I really liked (apart from my hair). After 1 month of changing hairstyles, I got one that clicked with me and haven't really changed since then. My free fantasia will stay hidden in the storage.

Consumed a Fantasia a few weeks ago to become a Miqo'te, mostly because I was getting turned down for RP because I was a Lalafell.

3 hours later, had to go back to my Lalafell. I had absolutely no connection to the new character. None. I looked at her in cutscenes, and I just got sad because she wasn't mine. She was an imposter.

I made one of my retainers look exactly the same as my old Lalafell, but that just made me even sadder.

So, yeah. Two fantasias in the span of three hours.

Yet, I see people dropping Fantasias like they're sick beats.

People I know are changing their race/look every week.

Do you guys not have personal connections do your characters?

I certainly do.

I've never used a Fantasia and I can't honestly say I intend to do so though I do still have the free one that the MSQ dropped at some point. Not really sure why I haven't discarded it to be honest.

Though it may sound silly to some, I feel like I shared the journey (MSQ) that my character went on. I feel it's a true indicator of the quality of the game/story/writing that there were several instances during it where I, for lack of a better description, felt what my character was feeling. Further to that, the moment, during the cutscene at the conclusion of the main Endwalker scenario, where our character is acknowledged as 'The Warrior of Light' (which everyone screenshots) cemented it for me.

So I can't bring myself to use a Fantasia - to me it would take something away from the connection. I also spend a lot of time rewatching MSQ cutscenes through the Unending Journey, and though I can't really explain it, for me it just wouldn't feel quite the same.
