Fantasia isn't for me, even though I don't rp I prefer creating alts so that every character can focus on something different.

i only ever use it once with my free fantasia. Before i use male hyur, looks boring because i only change hairtstyle + color and pupil color, but i dont mind. Then i watch some msq clip in youtube and saw a beautiful female hyur. I was like "Damn, i want my char to be like that". So i look up a comment and found the question i wanted to ask about how to make the char to be like that. So i use my free fanta and copy the exact char from that clip. And it turns out gear.
I have a preset for Miqo, Viera, Hyur and Au and I fantasia every 3 months approximately.
Went back to Hyur last night, I missed her and I was bothered by ears disappearing on my Miqo with certain hats.

I’ve fanta’d 5 times.
First time was to turn my main into Highlander. I was trying out some RP elements in the game about my character being able to manipulate time & space, and thus extends to being able age up or down himself at will. But this gets old real quick & I found it’s such a hassle.
Second time was to turn himself back to midlander, with different skin tone & eye color.
Third time was to make him tanner by 1 square… (Yep, lmao)
Fourth and fifth was on my alt. Started out as a Male Au’Ra, then a catboy, and eventually into a female midlander. Guess I’m as basic as I can be.
Currently I have this minor temptation to do the 6th chug on my main… to make him tanner again, by 1 more square… don’t judge me lmao.

I rarely use a fantasia and when I do it's usually after I've had a long-time feeling of needing to change something. This week I made my 4th new appearance. I changed my retainer and made an alt to get used to it first. I'm waiting for the day they show us female Hrothgars.

I tried to change to toher races but they just don't fit in with the persona around my character. I'm not an RP'er but I do feel that Lalafell fit's my WoL better than any other race. I've got friends who have fantasia'd more times than I can count (some love the variety) and that's fine - each to their own I suppose.

I feel the same. I could never fantasia because of that. I used to swap races all the time in wow, a long time back, so not sure what in my brain changed, but I could never do that today.

When i started the game it was as an elezen. However, i have loved the vierra since i played FF 12 back in the day. The day they were announced, i knew i would be using the free fantasia i had stashed. So my headcannon is that when i was summoned to the First something went weird with the spell, and i woke up in that strange place in a new body. Took maybe 2 cutscenes to get used to it. Sticking with the glam i had pre-made for the expansion might have helped with that.

I started as an Au Ra, then wanted to try something different, so I went Viera. Then I got nostalgic and went back. Then I decided I liked Viera better and went back again. Then I got annoyed at the hat and hair restrictions and decided to try something else different and went Miqo'te. I kinda want to go back to Viera, but I'm resisting the urge unless they address the issues that drove me off in the first place.
Funny part is that out of all of that, the only fantasia I actually paid for was the last one. Had one as an old veteran reward, one from the Heavensward collector's edition, and one from an Amazon promo. And the last one was part of a sale, so I got three for the price of one. Still have the other two in my saddlebag.

When you play games like Nioh 2 or Elden Ring where it allows to change character customization, you'll understand why... i just like changing up even though i'm a lalafell at heart.
