And the community its alright with this, stunning.
Of course they are. The majority only benefits from this decision. It's the same as with crafting and bots. Nobody cares because the bots and ease of crafting have heavily brought down prices. Which they benefit from. People only get upset when something impacts their enjoyment of the game.

A choice forced due to their systems creating an artificial scarcity. It isn't like losing your house means you can get another one in a few weeks when you return. The likelihood of getting another house if you happen to take a two month break is basically zero. Hence why people do stay subbed even if they're barely playing. They want to keep something they'll have almost no chance of getting again.

It's a choice you make before you even tap the placard. You accept the terms of the agreement. If you didn't want to be afraid of losing something and tied to the sub, you shouldn't have gotten it. It's really that simple.

It doesn't matter if they're active or not. Only a small percentage own housing. Everyone else is free to come and go because breaks are more important than maintaining virtual property.

It's sad that people even take this stance, when the reason demolition was even turned off was people were forced out of their actual homes and in some cases lost them. It reeks of privilege here with all the people complaining about being "forced" to pay 15$ / month for something so trivial. Queue the world's smallest violin for your pain and suffering.
