You seem to be awfully offended at the statement that RMT is bad and housing shouldn't be hoarded when there's a limited supply. One FC owning an entire ward is unacceptable. One person owning multiple houses is unnacceptable when there's not enough for everyone. It shoudln't be some hot take to say that. Maybe you're the one who needs to go touch grass if you feel the need to come to the housing forums just to defend your decision to have multiple houses.

I would agree that it should be unacceptable considering the limitations of the ward system that SE has chosen to use.

Clearly SE disagrees with both of us since they do allow it. We need to stop finger pointing at the players doing what SE allows.

It's on SE's shoulders to make changes to the system and either disallow house ownership beyond the one personal/one FC per service account, or to add enough wards that all players who want to own a house can do not only that but also own multiple houses if they desire without what one player having impacting what another player can have.

Using a fully instanced housing system would have made that very easy to achieve and probably would have been far less expensive than the ward system they picked. Oh well.

I think it might even up as the system allows folks to time out again, but they need to implement a method of forcing folks who got grandfathered in with the system in the first place lose all but one of their plots.

That's currently a FC ward and has been since 6.1 (before that it would have been mixed). It has zero impact on private buyers unless SE were to change the ward from FC to private.

That's the definition of lottery - the odds are commonly exceedingly low. But this is a raffle. That's besides the point though.

The lottery system is operating just fine. It picks one player from the list of bids. No placard spamming. No fighting with auto-clickers. It is doing exactly what it should. The problem is the supply. Lottery was never designed to fix supply. And in the near future, SE is adding more wards which will address supply.

And my advice for when that happens - if you own no house, go after a smalls only. Mediums and Larges will have a much higher volume of bids by players that own smalls, mediums or not plot at all. Whereas smalls will likely only have bids by the homeless. Your best shot is the first lottery period on a small.

Have to respectfully disagree. On Coeurl more often then not smalls have way way more bids then medium and larges. Problem is we have way too many homeless ppl on our server where even our apartments have a hard time meeting demands in some wards. So I've just started bidding on a medium or large as I've had better odds.

Mogshop should sell a minion that is a cardboard box. Working like the sun minion, you can position it in someone's garden and sit inside.

(Only a few weeks to go for 6 more wards - so put your bid in ON A SMALL PLOT IN GOBLET if you really want a house, stop trying to get a LB41 and throwing your hands up in disgust)
