Playing an expansion as current content has been a lacklustre MMO experience

The problem with XIV is that it acts as an Antithesis to everything WoW is in many ways. To many Ex WoW players and many who didn't like it for (insert reason here) this is fine and great.

Edit : I also find it annoying af that we can't ever have good faith dicussions about XIV and its issues without people just saying take a break or saying how much better then wow it is. I just want both games to be better and the devs of both games to repsect its players time and money.

Your first paragraph make it sound like you understand the problem, then you add that last paragraph and it turned out you don't.

To draw a parallel, think about FF14 is like a casual static while WoW is more like a hardcore static. People like you are like a hardcore player but for some reason decide to join a casual static, then proceed to complain that:

- The group isn't skilled enough.
- The group doesn't commit enough time.
- Member should study, research, and improve their play out of raid time.

Like, in a vacuum without context, all of your complains may sound valid and have good merit. Like if you just talk to random person, sure that all sound reasonable. But the in context here is that people choose to be in a casual for their own reason. It's not their fault that a casual static does not live up to your hardcore expectation when you choose to join their static. Like I said, if FF14 is like WoW, I wouldn't have been here as long as I did.

Yoshi-P had said that this is the ga,e overall designing philosophy in non-uncertain term, he did not try to sugar coat or obscured it like normal PR does. You bought a product that on the label had told you it will not do what you want it to do then complain why it's not doing what you want it to do.

Cause people use the game maker excuse to deviate any kind of critics like it an absolute statement. I don't like X thing so insted of asking for change I should play another game? Okay but what if play MMO for social part and my friends don't want to leave with me? Do I just go away cause we absolutly can't put content in the game that turbo casual wont like?

You are the reason we can't discuss in good faith. As soon as we mention anything that ain't the maintream casual opinion, ''It not the game fault, it yours''. Telling others what they are right to ask for and what to not ask for is the best way to show you're out of touch with the subjects.

YOu assume a lot based on my stance, which people do often. I have no issues with people wanting to be casual. You're not here in good faith because why does a casual player and a hardcore player have to choose between more replayable content and issues within your own game being fixed that should have been ages ago, such as ilvl cheese or bot issues becomign rampant. What does a game more geared towards more causal play have to do with fixing them spending millions of dollars on content people don't actively revisit only to then spend millions of dollars remaking said content?

THAT literally has nothing to do with them doing many of the same things so many people here have given wow shit for. My want is for them to go back to things that worked, rather then becoming more conservative.

Also more examples on how they can meld older content into the concurrent game :

Take the fate systems from Bozja and Eureka and merge it into the current open world and encourage more player interaction along side giving players the option to do the MSQ and lvling solo.

Making some mandatory content a Solo instance since its already done due to ilvl cheese thus fixing a problem that most people from NA to JP complains about

Making healing more engaging and reintroducing things healers have been asking for since the beginning of Shadow bringers. Again a problem from NA EU and JP healers.

So once again, what does this game being more cual have to do with them just refusing to make it better?

A lot of this, could also be helped by them being less vague and being straight up about whats possible for them atm and whats not, because the vague PR speak is played out and has also been a massive isssue for many game companies. And no one can use the usual *they're a JP company* Well, they're running a world wide MMO service and has been in the international spotlight for gaming for over several decades. They can do better
