Why so much in-game racism?

Call people out if they're being toxic towards someone for the race that they play. Also can report them. If they're ultimately banned they won't have anything to say and and cry about not being able to play the game anymore.

All races are beautiful and unique in their own way. Lalas are cute and humans are the classic, you can’t really go wrong with them, they are very transformable if that makes sense.
I play Viera because I love their attachment to nature, they are gorgeous and have legs for days but I remember at the beginning they got a lot of hate, I don’t think there’s any race in ffxiv that doesn’t get hate, some more than others.
If people try hard they will always find something to complain about or hate.
I can understand light banter but not actual mean spirited comments.

imo Vieras need a lot more than what they're given in-game. The devs should focus a bit more on their new races and explore them in the First. Viera are quite mystical, it would be interesting to see how they operate within Hydealyn.
